Neil young is such an amazing artist even now he's still making great tunes, big respect, i like underground hip hop but no rapper is on the same level as neil young he's a great musician and he's a very spiritually evolved person and that is why I can never like another artist more than him, has a lot of diversity too

Hard to believe I was only 10 when this was recorded, that was 40 years ago. I used to go to see him in Kirkland Lake Ontario as often as I could when I was about 14 , my hometown was only 50 miles from his so my friend and I would hitch hike there. Still the memories that came with the song are still as fresh as the day they were created.
It is so pure music,his acoustics are the best sounded of all the time,expensive and vintage Martins i think this one is D-45 .You don't need to play much to sound brilliant with that axe!
@63gak it is actually. It's a 1968 Martin D-45 that Neil got from his friend Stephen Stills in 1969. He's been playing it ever since. THIS is my dream guitar! One of the goals in my life to get a D-45 from the 60s. Have a nice day!

The very first song I ever learned to play on guitar. Love Neil. All over the map musically. As he put it in the liner notes of "Decade" at this stage of his career he was middle of the road, but living there soon got boring, so he headed for the ditch. His music isn't always to my taste, but it is always interesting. This one is a true gem though.

The very first song I ever learned to play on guitar. Love Neil. All over the map musically. As he put it in the liner notes of "Decade" at this stage of his career he was middle of the road, but living there soon got boring, so he headed for the ditch. His music isn't always to my taste, but it is always interesting. This one is a true gem though.

Most people would skip to when he starts singing, but I think that Neil Young fumbling around, trying to find the harmonica and talking to the crowd adds to the feeling and emotions he puts into this magical song, like if you agree :)

NOTICE in 1971, the lack of rude people snapping snaps with their ultra cool cellphones and otherwise disturbing a great live show! Sad that in today's world, one cannot go to a concert, even a small initmate show in a coffee house, without half the audience snapping photos from their cellphones all through the song, with the light from the screens disturbing the show and turning it into a techno circus. Sigh. 2012 is all wrong. 1971 had it all right, yes or no?
