  • Not to be negative, but in my opinion music needs to take a serious look back at the past...if there's only one thing to be found, let that be heart.

  • This video is one video that everyone just seems to stumble upon.I love reading all the great comments... for the most part there is nothing bad said and that speaks for the song and the man singing it, We should be happy we still have this man on earth ...a great song writer and a great Canadian.

  • Lynyrd Skynyrd says hello ! sounds nice!

  • @brrruniak ehm what is the point in this joke?

  • @rolf196619 if you ask,you should know my friend...// The album was the band's breakthrough hit, and featured their most popular single, "Sweet Home Alabama" (#8 on the charts in August 1974), a response to Neil Young's "Alabama" and "Southern Man". (Young and Van Zant were not rivals, but fans of each other's music and good friends //

-actually it's not a ''Southern Man'' but... have a good mood :)

  • It's so damn easy to lost within these 'youtube' walls. Great stuff, Neil.

  • Neil young is such an amazing artist even now he's still making great tunes, big respect, i like underground hip hop but no rapper is on the same level as neil young he's a great musician and he's a very spiritually evolved person and that is why I can never like another artist more than him, has a lot of diversity too

  • absolutely love it

  • what a jokes what a song and voice!!! and what he try to say, for everyone for us!!

  • like sound neil young

  • 1:47 for only the song. (best song)

  • love it

  • So beautiful....!!! VIVA NEIL YONG

  • It's an honor to be named Neil.

  • sailorpluto2000, we can respect that you don't like him. That's your opinion and that's fine. But then don't come on here and say he sucks. He has legitimate talent and abilities, and plays instruments and sings incredibly. He doesn't rely on computer to make and tune his sounds, he does it with his instrument and his vocals. That is true talent. It may not be your cup of tea, but don't diss an incredible musician all because you would prefer to listen to something else.

  • @sailorpluto2000 the first time i heard drake i thought it was lil wayne.

  • @sailorpluto2000 You are trippin and uneducated, homey. Take a music history class. Broaden your horizons, bro. Your simplistically simplistic mind needs to be reconstructed.

  • Stfu

  • @sailorpluto2000 I just love to react, because you take it so personal.

  • Neil is great.

  • @ChiroQuacker

lol one day you will be old too hahahaha :P

Well Stfu and leave me alone

  • @sailorpluto2000 Take your meds!

  • wonderful voice everybody loves him

  • @sailorpluto2000 Why do you think anybody wants to know you don't like him? You do know that trolling is seen as a bit old fashioned don't you?

  • @sailorpluto2000 u suck.

  • @sailorpluto2000 This is actually music just cause Justin Bieber came doesnt mean he takes over the whole FUCKIN THING neil is music k dog so shut the fuck up and listen

  • Canadians kick ass

  • Luvin al that

  • This song randomly came back to me. thank you Neal young.

  • how beautiful can one voice and one song and one performance be

  • Beautiful fusion of harmonic and guitar :)

  • @deankgagnon cool, would of loved to be around at that time

  • @deankgagnon

the memories may be fresh but not your wrinkled liver spotted face...and calcified nutsack

  • @deankgagnon bull shit

  • @deankgagnon Not many references to Kirkland Lake on YT. Nice to see :)

  • Greatest songwriter of all time.

  • How anyone could post a dislike on this masterwork is unfathomable....I shudder to imagine what utter shit those people listen to!

  • 42

  • @beatlesroc26 Ikr! Thats what this song and 42 have in common, they are both the answer to life the universe and everything.

  • It is so pure music, his acoustics are the best sounded of all the time, expensive and vintage Martins i think this one is D-45 .You don't need to play much to sound brilliant with that axe!

  • @63gak it is actually. It's a 1968 Martin D-45 that Neil got from his friend Stephen Stills in 1969. He's been playing it ever since. THIS is my dream guitar! One of the goals in my life to get a D-45 from the 60s. Have a nice day!

  • ฟังแล้วคิดถึงบ้าน ..ครับ ..

  • 436 people have no clue about music, 436 people have no heart, 436 people led sad sad lives.

  • I am at danbloom AT gmail: what i meant was that in 1971 people did not interfere with the concert by holding their cellphone cameras up in the air and disturbing the line of sight and audio and atmosphere of the show. re: NOTICE in 1971, the lack of rude people snapping snaps with their ultra cool cellphones and otherwise disturbing a great live show!

  • have you ever heard a song that brings a tear to your eye, this man i idolize him i started playing the guitar just because of him

  • @KingKronicful I totally agree with you. I started leaning the guitar because if NY and this song. I haven't got the slightest clue about musical theory but I've been playing guitar for two years now and last year I ended up with a D-28. Neil's the man! Peace

  • crazy that a song is this great!

  • its just seem to be funny to say justin bieber here... but realy this was epic music, ty.

  • Ah ,, Thats brilliant : )))

  • Neil young, You bad a**.

    musical genius

  • like his harmonica)

  • he just sits relaxed on his chair , makes jokes, tests his instruments, and what comes? Music history!!! Unbelievable artist.

  • i so love this song...

  • HOW IN THE WORLD CAN THERE BE SO MANY DISLIKES FOR THIS VIDEO??? SHAME ON YOU DISLIKERS, THIS MAN IS A TRUE LEGEND, ONE OF A KIND GUY WHO REALLY KEEPS ME GOING, CMON HAVE A HEART....A HEART OF WELLL.... YOU KNOW GOLD, CMON YOU CAN UNDERSTAND, IM GETTING OLD?

  • @vxordie Jealous pricks. This guy is so fucking good. And a nice guy, as well as talented.

  • I kinda feel lucky that i learnt what rock music is about and found out musicians like this one led zeppelin and pink floyd. They have the ability to teach you things while playing. This is Unique.

  • Neil is and always has been my hero...I learned to play guitar because of him.

  • Fucking brilliant.

    Thanks for uploading this masterpiece!

  • one of the greatest artists of all time, great showmanship he talks to the audience like hes personal friends with them and hes very humorous, bravo neil young

  • WHATS ON TOP OF HIS BOX? set list or soemthing ???

  • he just seems COOL

  • F***ing hell ! * roots around in his pockets, cracks a few jokes then......HAVE THIS !! Yeah sure it's a masterpiece........but what the fuck i'm cool * Brilliant, just brilliant !!

  • @douginamerica

Do you ever stop to think there are 7 billion people in this world that don't care what you think? Please do the rest of the world a courtesy and step away from your keyboard.

  • @daled856

Hahaha.....wow get over yourself. I like Niel. But he looks like a caveman. The forehead can cut through stone.

  • The very first song I ever learned to play on guitar. Love Neil. All over the map musically. As he put it in the liner notes of "Decade" at this stage of his career he was middle of the road, but living there soon got boring, so he headed for the ditch. His music isn't always to my taste, but it is always interesting. This one is a true gem though.

  • it's really boring, hacks his harmonica, but I like it Neil, but that it bothers me!

  • Neil at this age has the forehead of a caveman. I really thought he came from another time.

  • @douginamerica, now what skull shape would meet your high standards? Never mind his singing, he should just look good, is that what you're saying? FYI, this is not Mr. Gay America contest.

  • @UkkoA

Wow are you a bigot? What have you against gays? The point is....he looks like a caveman!

  • DEADLY !!!!!!

  • 1:45 music button. you're welcome.

  • @kourosh89 GREEN DAY SUCKS! >:O GAYEST BAND EVER KNOWN!!

  • @kourosh89 then go cut yourself and listen to green day you emo fag

  • Back when music required real talent

  • Reflecting on music's sad decline in recent years reminds me of the old William Blake poem addressing the muses....."How have you left the ancient love.....that bards of old enjoyed in you.....the languid strings do scarcely move.....the sound is forced, the notes are few."

  • Watching this tells me, I'm on the right path!

  • Well remember this. I was 20 and those were good days to remember!

  • Most people would skip to when he starts singing, but I think that Neil Young fumbling around, trying to find the harmonica and talking to the crowd adds to the feeling and emotions he puts into this magical song, like if you agree :)

  • @DropToTheBeat101 he's so high on cocaine.

    love this concert

  • @DropToTheBeat101

Agreed-he is just there-no bs-just one of the best song writers and his mumbling monolugue makes his music even more emotional

  • @DropToTheBeat101 honestly i think people lost track of absolute beauty such as this im 21 was born 1990 and agree with you 100% i only wish more people agreed with you

  • @DropToTheBeat101 Awhh, I fast forwarded to the song, but then I read your comment and rewound :D

  • @ikambor your a jackass and an idiot

  • @DropToTheBeat101 respect, a man who embodied his craft. What is music? Creative expression. And Neil, throughout his career, truly expressed himself not only with his harmonious tunes but his fervent personality... we as listeners and fans should learn from his example and try to intersect our personalities with our work as we strive to leave a personal imprint on this earth. Neil Young Forever...

  • please check out my youtube channel you may find a nugget or two...

  • Todays music can't touch this .....what an absolute beauty

  • @MichaelsPortraits

During this time the WAVE that Hunter Thompson talked about was at it's height. When the human spirit soars, so does the music.

The human spirit at the moment is absolutely dead, and needs desperate CPR.

  • Don't ever delete this video, please!!

  • THANX FOR THE UP LOAD!!!

  • No one shout "get on with it" coz they wouldn't get out alive, lol

  • 436 people are Justin Bieber fans

  • Idol!;)

  • Luv ya Neil, you're a Genius! Used to listen in 1971 as an 8 year old, still listening' now! Thanks for the inspiration :)

  • This takes me back to 1990 when I first got into it. Back then I only had like 4 records so they each make a big impact on me, I still remember every lyric, every riff. Today I have 8000+ records very few reach into me at all.

  • All music now is drama. But it's B movie drama.. This is craft. This is depth. This is art.

  • c trop bon ste show la !"""

  • been searching for 53 years-- this song sure hits home

  • Pure gold

  • stfu with all your comments, and enjoy this master piece of music.

  • I honestly believe this is one of the greatest songs of all time

  • so good that you all listened to Neil look through his pockets for 1:47 to get to the song. Legends never die

  • Goose bumps

  • SHUT UP AND PLAY THE FUCKING SONG!!!

  • I found out about Neil Young through The Wailin' Jennys, and I have a feeling I'm gonna be listening to this dude for the rest of my life.

  • i dont know why, but it makes me cry.

  • Talent, where is it now?

  • @goblinking169 are you really that desperate for attention ?

  • @mintoo2cool no shit!!

  • Neil Young. Enough said

  • If Jesus could sing, this is what his voice would sound like.

  • Can't we just notice that this is now over 40 years old and still relevant? I wasn't born when this happened, were you?

  • 436 people's internet fucked at 1:46

  • 435 twats with no taste

  • What a lucky audience. They witnessed quite a history.

  • NOTICE in 1971, the lack of rude people snapping snaps with their ultra cool cellphones and otherwise disturbing a great live show! Sad that in today's world, one cannot go to a concert, even a small initmate show in a coffee house, without half the audience snapping photos from their cellphones all through the song, with the light from the screens disturbing the show and turning it into a techno circus. Sigh. 2012 is all wrong. 1971 had it all right, yes or no?

  • @MrDanbloom Yes it bugs the hell out of me..A small intimate affair and the jerkoffs are recording....Sucks when you pay the big bucks

  • @MrDanbloom You posting this on every Neil Young live recording isn't gonna bring the 70's back, I'm sorry;)

  • @MrDanbloom

    No.

Nostalgia is one of the great perversions of man kind.

  • @MrDanbloom .....yes Mr. Danbloom.....the Fucking I-Net its the absolutely Bullshit for the Artest Worldwide......it was wounderful Days, to wayting uf a new Album from MR. Neil Young on Vinyl..... enyway, i order the vinyl records since old times...i must hear the "knister"....on old vinyl ä'la "Broken Arrow" in 3 Venyl.....not on a clean remasterd version on CD, this fucking shit... Mr. Neil Young...the best Singer on Canadian History....

  • @MrDanbloom

And all the chicks I know looked a hell of a lot better in 1971.

  • @MrDanbloom if it wasnt for technology we wouldnt be watching this video...

  • @MrDanbloom you said it so right. :)

  • @MrDanbloom Yeah because in 1971 people had cellphones. Get real, if that is your biggest gripe in life then you have a pretty sweet life.

  • @MrDanbloom I guess with the prices of the tickets they charge in 2012 people want to get some value for the outrageous prices charged JMO

  • @MrDanbloom ..you are of course aware that cell phones did not exist back then?

good..then before we get all nostalgic and cushy, please realize that these people were 'polite' 'genuine' and awesome ...by DEFAULT..that is to say- if they had the option of mindless iphone gadgetry back in 1971..trust me, this show would have been ruined as well.

I'm right there with you on the issue believe me, but humans were no different back then..no one changes

  • @MrDanbloom Another annoying habit from today's world and concerts; why do people have to carry on conversations while the artist/s are performing? Sheer rudeness..

So a big YES to you...

  • @MrDanbloom fuck yeah
