this song is perfect for Halloween. its always creeped me out but i love it. it was definitely a foretaste of things to come.

@halfcabdisaster7 Well,I read a whole bio on Kurt,and the Cure was never mentioned,so sad. About A Girl was written during his Knack phase mixed with his punk influence from bands like Black Flag.

@MissCureCrazy I know Killing Joke was suing him over the Come As You Are Riff, but I don't think he ripped off either band, just maybe a nod to them. On a side note, both songs open with an E minor to G major chord, but that's common I suppose.

@halfcabdisaster7 I have to agree with you. I don't think Kurt would ever try to rip off a band. Especially The Cure, they were one of his favorites. I'm surprised he didn't cover them on the unplugged.

@halfcabdisaster7 I would have to agree. During the last moments of Where Did You Sleep Last Night? when he wails "shiver" before he sings "the whole," you can just see the pain in his eyes. I would of loved to hear him cover The Cure as well. R.I.P. Kurt.

everytime I go to watch a video of a rad band like the Cure, there are always these sad, kind of teenage sounding comments about Lady Gaga, or how rap music sucks, hahahaha....it just seems absurd to me. This song is awesome.

This was the last song on The Cure's real first album(unedited,butchered) Boy's don't cry. Listening from start to finish was like a novel on audio with a very chilling ending.... "can you help meeeee ???" ..............(fade to black)
