  • Kickass. Way better than Johnny Cash version.

  • My father took me to Hank Snow in the early 70's in Ontario Canada. Thanks for the memories

  • Great old country song.

  • i think is the only country song where they said the name of my country ARGENTINA.

i'm a country music fan since i was a kid-- a real Argentinian country fan.

  • The father of Rap-A-Billie!

  • I don't know how he could have sung all those names of places, that is a feat in itself.

    Great old song

  • Looked like a nerd, dressed like a fruit, sang like a free-range angel: Hank Snow Rocks.

  • @mrmomoto "LOL"

  • @mrmomoto Hey, that was the way a lot of those 'Country and Western' stars dressed then. Times were different, and that, is what one must remember. Stop slapping on today's thinking on those of a different era. That's the way it was, and 50 years from now, they'll probably laugh at you too.

  • @sugarfoot59 PorterWagoner said that when he appeared he wanted his fans to know how much he respected them and he dressed in fancy costumes to show this respect.

He wore the best he had each time he appeared.

  • cool! he even mentions Sarasota!

  • @abstractbybrian He's been everywhere.

  • This is why country music was better back then - they wore clothes like THAT!.....

  • I don't know what kicks ass more - this song or his clothes!...

  • So, David Allen Coe isn't the Original Rhinestone Cowboy...

  • the early beginnings of wrap music?????????

  • @orbit15 rap is not music the c was broken on the typewriter is how it got it.s name , come on man , all you need for rap is the ability to make noise ( not nesecarily coherent talk ) and know how to hold your privates in public without being embarrased, rap was originally called signifying in the prisons and jails ,they would see if they could rhyme something bad enough to make the other guy mad., thus those old YO MOMMA jokes

  • all these songs was sung to me as a child by my parents

  • this song kicks busta rhymes all the way to Reno, Chicago, Fargo, Minnesota, Buffalo, Toronto, Winslow, Sarasota, Wichita, Tulsa, Ottawa, Oklahoma, Tampa, Panama, Mattawa, La Paloma, Bangor, Baltimore, Salvador, Amarillo, Tocapillo, Baranquilla, Perdilla....yeah pretty much everywhere

  • Great Video! Thanks for Posting!

  • awesome tune:):)-- forst time i heard the original ,

  • amazing stuff...great to see this video, thanks for posting..

  • Hank Snow's influence will be in country music for a very long time.

  • WOW! Super song by one of country's greatest stars. THANKS for posting this rare color clip! :)

  • how'd he do that???? amazing

  • luv it!!! is it the original or the johnny cash one is the real thing,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

  • @electrohippy68 Hank snow did the original several of the places such as gravelburg is a town in saskatchewan which only an hour and a half from my home town

  • This song was written by an Aussie - Geoff "Tangletongue" Mack - It became a huge hit in Australia when it was released by singer Lucky Starr. The original version had all Australian town names.

Geoff also wrote a parody, of sorts to this song, It was called "I've had everything,Doc" - where he rattled off every ailment known to man - it was very funny - Geoff recently visited my home town - he's now in his 80's and claims he made enough royalties from the song to never have to work again.

  • Hank was one of the best country singers ever. I guess the man didn't smoke if he did I don't see how he could have performed this tune, it takes a lot of breath to do it right. Thanks for the video. Cheers..

    Wayne.

  • no one can match Hank's version of this song.

  • @edgardesouza27 I'll back ya up on that statement 100%! But a close 2nd ... I would have to say is "Asleep At The Wheel" 's version, released in 1973 (I think).

  • im 15 years old and not the biggest country fan, but i think this is awesome!

  • i'm not american i'm europian from belguim to be axact and this song inspires me .

It's the best oldie out there .

    BIG <3 from belguim .

    Grtzz (:

  • YES!

  • Now seeing the country stars of that time I now see why Elvis was such a bomb to the music world. They are all standing still, while Elvis was moving around.

  • This song always leaves me short of breath and tired and that's just listening to it.

  • hes my greaaaaat uncle :P

  • I have always loved this song, and this is a great video of a live performance. Hank's suit is the coolest. Maybe I'll have one like it made for myself. LOL Thanks for posting.

  • fantastica!!! lalalala

  • The country Pee Wee Herman look. Great song.

  • I wonder how long it took him before he could do this song without bursting out laughing.

  • Thank you for your message regards

  • Hank Snow was so great. I recall reading that his "promoters" told him not to play the guitar as much and as well as he could, that it would distract fans from his singing. He could pick as good as Chet Atkins, and then some. A great performer, and great music.

  • Me too, but there's no place like home. Thanks for upload

  • geez, how can he remember all the words to this song???

  • Cool to see color. I always loved this song! Thanks!
