@Didi1690 Its gun is shorter than the chally, it cant have infantry directly behind it because the jet exaust from the engine will singe the infantry and it uses up fuel which is bad if the highly vulnerable logistics vehichles are targeted

@MRWALKER500000 It burns though fuel fast because of it's larger engine with makes it quite fast for a tank it's size. And yes M1s were destroyed in Iraq, but there were very few crew losses. If a Challenger was hit with an EFP it would be damaged or destroyed just the same.

Leo 2- great tank, but has not been proved on the mecanised battlefield

T-90- Great little tank. Light and well armored as it has took multiple hits from RPG's in Daegestan

I served with !RTR from 1996 to 2001 when the service defence review said they don't need all the Tank Reg's they had, made 1RTR the JNBCR with RAF rag & moved us from Paderborn to a RAF base in Honnington, we may well have the most heritage and history but when it comes to the crunch, we were almost THE LAST TANK REGIMENT TO GET CHALLE 2, and the first Regiment to be disbanded !

1&4 RTR algimated to make 1 RTR

2&3 RTR algimated to make 2 RTR

1RTR made into JNBCR, just 2 RTR left now !
