Well no company realy remakes a game in terms of just updating graphics because its just more fun to play an entirely new game.

If you want to play the origonal with improved graphics you might want to search for Mods. As some mods do just that.

But a group of people are remaking this in source. It's Called Black Mesa. Do a google search for that and you should find it right away. It looks great. Though there still is no release date for it besides "when it's done"

ive never played half life, but the cheats menu ur thinking of is the dev console thats a part of the source engine

the suit wasnt really designed for combat but rather as a sort toolbox I think Gorden is learning these skills so he can do maintanece
