  • what a beautiful concert... such a wonderful audience with knowledge about talas and the right attitude to interact with the musicians.... awesome... such athmospheres of intimicy in smaller concert rooms like we know it from mephils are the right frame to create the best of Indian Classics.... inspiring musicians and audience same... wowh.... many tks for sharing this.... makes goose bumps....

  • i like the tabla performance but i dont like the fucken stooped old baba who sit like a king son of bitch and shame on his devotees.

  • EXCELLENT DUET OF TABLA PLAYING OF TWO MAHARATHI

  • This is too complicated for me. Sorry, my simple understanding of Table can't understand this. This is way beyond my level.

  • @giriisindahouse the more you listen to it, the more the intricacies will reveal themselves and the more you'll be able to appreciate them....

Blessed we are that there are people who put their differences aside to make such beautiful music that all can enjoy.

  • thank you so much for sharing this amazing occasion

  • lovely exchange

  • adhai matra... saade teen matra... sade saath matra.. n adhai matra again.... his style is as tough as hell...! n thats why he is what he is. salut..!!

  • Silent visit? Doesn't sound very silent to me.:D

  • what raag is the lehra or the tune in ?

i dont know how to say it

    but i sounds really good

  • Who is the man they are performing for? Everyone is holding him in very high reverence. They, meaning the others in the room apart from Zakirji and Yogeshji, keep looking at his face for approval. Thanks for increasing my awareness. tabla

  • hey mr zakir what is in your hand ...there is more then fingers..oooooopppppssss

    great performance...

  • i want a tabla but i live in costa rica how can i get one

  • To all

If u dont have anything good to say, shut the fuck up

If u do have something worth saying, then please do not destroy the words in your post by yelling at those who are speaking badly of the artist

  • Beautiful peshkar. Shame it is fouled by such dirty comments from uncouth barbaric individuals who clearly have never even heard music. Thank you gaganpreetrang for uploading!

  • Fantastic Peshkar!! please more!!!!

  • Music in itself is a path that leads straight to god, so yes music can be considered a religion. Zakir hussain would be considered one of the highest saints of this order.

  • Great

  • who are they performing for?

  • the khayda it develops into is sik, n the mukhra's throughout are HEAAVY! lol

  • unique....

  • wow...what a difficult peshkar! Look how the great Ustad complicates it even further with his masterfully woven intricate bols and timings. This is not just art...but also a lesson in mathematics!!

  • Zakir --> Different class...

  • is this composition in teental?

  • This is not Zakir Hussain but Abdussattar Tari from Pakistan on Tabla.

  • Comment removed

  • @holistic1951 no man it IS ust. Z. H. . what hav u been smokin?

  • @holistic1951 r u blind??

  • @willraja there is no rest willraja check at the link at the bottom of the vid. onde on the website type zakir hussain. that was a short ceremony for an old sikh dignitary. that's how the vid end.

  • @willraja zakir ji & samshi ji played only for 10 minutes.. and it was not a concert.. thanks for your kind comments

  • Ustad Zakir Hussain & Pt. Yogesh Samshi visit Sri Bhani Sahib to seek the blessings of his holiness Sri Satguru Jagjit Singh Ji...

  • wow. What a joy to watch. luv it!

  • WOW ustad G ( zakir ) is kind of getting old, but his music is getting younger and i hope he is taking care of his health....

  • Aie Aie Aie !! Thats a Peshkar ! Those two should play more often together, they would rock the indian classical music scene . Thanks a lot gaganpreetang ! I am so eager to see the rest of the concert

  • Amazing combination of both these ustaads in a gathering of hundreds of other ustaads... Thanks so much for sharing. Can you please upload the rest?

  • Kyaa bat !!!

  • wah paarji do u have the rest of the solo?

  • yeah i have...

  • @gaganpreetrang wah wah nice video! if you could post the rest that would be awesome! :)

  • Awesome.........

  • A muslim man performs with a hindu guru-bhai to a sikh audience. No where else in the world, will any one see such a sight. Incredible India.

  • music has no religion.... its only legion s true sur & laya nothing else...

  • I recently had chance to meet The gr8 ustad at his home....and i saw the photo of the PANDURANGA (the hindu god) in his residance....he is not only great artist great humen being..so puting words like he is musalmaan or something is ridiculous...

  • @hr61283 the only downfall of Ustad Zakir Hussain is that he was born muslim but never practices islam and gives thanks to his creator Allah instead he seems to promote more of other religions like sikh and hinduism. music is not a religion and tabla is not God we must remember that all this is only possible because of God

  • @tabla714 will u frickin mind your on business. who he promotes and who he doesnt is his business. please be reverent enough to give space to a man much greater than yourself and mine.

  • @shankyxyz he maybe greater then you but not me buddy i only bow to God and thats it Ustad Zakir Hussain is a muslim but never have i heard him thank God for his achievments therefor he is nothing i thought he was humble but it doesnt seem that way

  • @tabla714 its evident you are an idiot who thinks you have a right to jusge other ppls beliefs and values. go ahead and dont give me this bullshit about who u bow to and who u dont, if i put a gun up ur arse u will even bow to me. anyways silly discussion. i am least interested in ur god or ur beilef. i just thought its not fair of a man to judge another man's values. the point is obviously lost with you.

  • @shankyxyz i didnt judge his belief i merely said he should thank God and he doesnt im sorry your willing to bow down to this guy and suck his toes lol stupid fuk dont judge me you fukn hypocrit motherfucker

  • @tabla714 where am i a hypocrite? how did u come to that conclusion. u are just stupid beyond belief.

  • @shankyxyz you called me a idiot i believe you judged me and then you said My God is bullshit you judged me again and you said that and then you said he is greater then me what makes him so great he is just a musician he is not a God man calm your stupid ass down there are so mant tabla players that can do what he does Ustad Zakir is just a brand name if it wasnt for his father having fame because of Ravi Shankar Zakir ji would just be another tabla player in india

  • @tabla714 whatever, no more time wasting. u win.

  • @allfieldsreq why do we hav to identitify someone as hindu ,muslim .cristian ,, american indian etc. we are all humans man , and we do human things . this identitification bussiness has fuked the whole world.

  • @BABAMUGHALBABASAHEB

yes we are humans and yes we all do the same old "human things". But, every single human

is unique: some believe in this and others in that... some love to wake up early, others

love to sleep well into the day. IF we all did the same things in the same manner, believe in

the same principles, then there would be no need for the "identification".

  • @allfieldsreq True!

  • yes..thats right. This can happen only in India. Definitely we have some elements which are spreading hatred. But we Indians will ensure that they will withstand for long.

  • yes..thats right. This can happen only in India. Definitely we have some elements which are spreading hatred. But we Indians will ensure that they will not withstand for long. My apologies as I forget to put "NOT" in my earlier comment.

  • @allfieldsreq so true..This is what India is.
