Hi, youth worker from San Diego, CA, USA. This looks like you have a class of kids that went on this "survival course." We have nothing like this here, that I know of, is it a requirement that all school age kids go through something like this, or is it just for fun?

This is a birthday party. So it's just for fun.
There are to my knowledge no requirements like this for schoolage kids.
