@lightwayvez I'm Canadian too. We are in pretty nasty debt as well. We won't be sitting pretty if the US goes into a currency crisis. We are still participating in the Afghan war (hopefully we are pulling out soon). There's been some pretty terrible Canadian atrocities as well with our troops on peace missions.

Those leaks came from men that may had no right by Canada's government or Obama's men to speak out on their behalfs as diplomats to either side. But if NAFTA has a raw deal goning down should the govenments of Canada and the US look in to it. @lightwayvez I'm Canadian too. We are in pretty nasty debt as well. We won't be sitting pretty if the US goes into a currency crisis. We are still participating in the Afghan war (hopefully we are pulling out soon). There's been some pretty terrible Canadian atrocities as well with our troops on peace missions.
All in all we are better recently than the US, but we are far from squeaky clean.

Canada's largest customer of exports is the U.S., which buys 81% of Canada's exports and includes the natural resource products such as oil, timber and most other products. Without the U.S., Canada's economy would not be sustained at its' current level. If the U.S. economy recedes, Canada will be right behind, as Canada's economy rests on the prosperity of the U.S.

But because the Obama camp admitted that a meeting did occur, the PMO is not going to deny it.
But because the public does not have any solid proof at the moment that the PM's top aide told a room full of reporters that Clinton aides *reached out* to Canada, the PMO is going to deny these rumors to prevent more damage to US-Canada relations.

Erm no, actually, one of Barack's advisors feels that his 16-month timetable for bringing the troops home is too ambitious. And perhaps it is, which I think he recognizes - but at least he's going to TRY, as opposed to Hillary, who has not even put forward a timetable and may leave them there for years to come.

Obama has proposed a 16-month timetable for withdrawal from Iraq. Hillary has proposed none. McCain has proposed none and will probably keep us there until the mid 2100's. If Obama's timetable turns out to be unrealistically ambitious, at least he tried, whereas your candidate doesn't even try.
