  • small engines, but same power :) 650 hp + KERS (ERS) + better aero + tyres :) lower fuel consuption :) small turbo engines were in 80s :) and were good :D we will see :D

  • Manual gear box, clutch pedal, steering wheel with 2 or 3 buttons, and BOSS behind the wheel - F1 died in 1994.

  • Damn he can drive

  • Honda RA-V10 = best ever engine made

  • 1 schumacher fan dont like this video !

  • The older F1 cars are so dangerous and from this video seem horrible to drive especially with the manual gearbox. I would rather drive a modern F1 car with a weaker engine but much higher downforce like the RB6 compared to the MP4-5.

  • Can I ask something? Did he/they use the clutch when shifting up to higher gears?

  • @Jamirofan89 no only sequanteal gearbox i think. these days is the same, but they shifting under steering wheel by clicking his fingers :)

  • @vprmn You're comparing modern F1 to this from 1990? In 1990 only Ferrari had semi-automatic gearbox (with paddle shifters). Senna's McLaren had clutch + manual gearbox, with what you had to match revs during gearing down (bliping), and clutch + throttle lift on gearing up. Not like today - pedal to the metal, and finger clicking, ble :/

  • @thylegion F1 is about development. but if you want, stay in year 1990:) old technologies..etc.

  • @vprmn I would if I could, bro. :) But we'll talk again when you feel the same way I do when in some 2016 F1 will have small gokart engines, and bolids will be even uglier than today.

  • @vprmn Also, I have no idea why you said F1 is about development, when I simply corrected you, since you've said this McLaren had sequential gear box. Nonetheless, nevermind.

  • @Jamirofan89 Yes, they had to use the clutch. Those were not sequential gearbox like Indy used to use those time.

Can you imagine how skilled you had to be to drive a F1 car those days?

In my opnion, the present semi-automatic finger driven sequential gearboxes is one of the worst characteristics of nowadays F1.

  • @guilhermecvieira I agree with the skillful part. Those were the days!

  • really chills me the riding style of the artist of the four wheels it forces reduced to a maximum pulling your Maclaren at the entrance of the curves and impresses me as he shoves his foot up to the bottom in all time

  • really chills me the riding style of the artist of the four wheels it forces reduced to a maximum pulling your Maclaren at the entrance of the curves and impresses me as he shoves his foot up to the bottom in all gears

  • soooooooo fast!

  • Total. Committment.

    Senna, you are sorely missed...

  • rthat audio is shit

  • His 50th pole!

  • 15 years...

  • best driver there ever was

    RIP SENNA

  • lets see schumacher do that, oh never mind because he couldn't...

  • the 1992 mclaren was a pittiful car... the only advantage it really had was the TC but nothing else. it's chassis was positively flimsy, the honda V12 was too heavy and has even less power than the renault V10. andretti was in awe that senna could still win 3 races in it but schumacher only won 1 in what was a very good car that just lacked a few driver aids. not to mension you're seem to be denying the obvious in that senna in 1993, caned schumacher in an inferior car...

    senna is still #1...

  • Its seems the idiot who knows nothing is you!

they raced 41 gp together senna won 8 races and schumi 3 senna got 9 poles schumi 0... in fact schumi never got a single pole while senna lived and finally got his 1st at monaco 94 just after the maestro passed away.. by the way senna had 5 dnfs in 92 thats why schumi ended up ahead in the title standings

Why are most schumi fans idiots who think they know F1?

  • You obviously don't know what you are talking about. Senna died at the top of his game.

  • Jaw droppingly good!!

  • o melhor do mundo :)

  • RIP my hero!

  • what type of gearboxes were they using back in 1990, in this example is wasn't tiptronic but was it fully manual or sequential gear box

  • Manual gearbox

  • I'm pretty sure the Mclaren had a 5 speed manual box, but I might be wrong

  • The McLaren had a 6 speed manual gearbox.

  • ayrton senna is a fuckin animal in that car. he made that track his bitch

  • Incredible

  • Obrigado !!

  • Bem Obrigado por postar! Sena é realmente um grande motor

  • Quero dizer condutor

  • This is 1990, not 1989.
