  • Does anybody have extra 1913 type 1 buffalo nickels?

  • Are the coins with no date worth more than five cent?

  • @TheHotRod1961 no because they were rubbed off. but if it's a minting problem like thay forgot to put the date on it then yes

  • You live in Orlando? So do I! what coin shop do you go to?

  • I am new to coin collecting what do you mean when you say that its a proof coin.

  • You need to complete the Jefferson Nickel collection. It would be nice to have a complete set.

  • i found a 1887 v nickel that was worn out so so bad in about 50 bucks worth of pennys

  • its pronounced monti-chello and why does toning raise the price of a coin. i hate coins that have toping. they look horrible in my opinion. like you war nickel, i would never buy one of those.

  • i have a buffalo nickle with no date

  • you have a good collection of nickles i just started my own collection and im halfway done so far from 1997-to now

  • its 90% silver =]

  • i have a 1912 Liberty V nickel in good condition, you can see all the details and all the letters are visible

  • I have a 1964 Jefferson Nickel in my collection i really like it, i thiknk it's silver isn't it ?

Well if it is some one respond please. Thx :)

  • probably not. they made a TON of 1964 jefferson nickels. in every roll i have seen you can normally find 1-2. im not even sure they made silver 64s.

  • no that is the most common nickel from the 60's and earlier. it has no silver content

  • @pikebubu97 the only nickels tht r silver were made during ww2

  • hey im 14 but i have a coin collection but not any thing to put them in.. do u know where i can get one. also i have a 1964 realy shiny aloid looking nickle if you want it u can have it

  • i have a 1903 V nickel with a die crack.

  • I saw 3 of the 5 known 1913 'v' nickels in person at the American Numismatic Association museum in Colorado Springs. They were kept in a huge display case.

  • I also have all slivers payed $11.00 all.

  • I have the v 1911 5 cents

  • the westward journey coins wont be worth anything because everyone is doing the same by hoarding them.

  • where did you acquire the bulk of your collection?

  • All over the place mostly ebay

  • about how much have you invested into the hobby, if you don't mind answering.

  • I really don't know. I took me years to get everything. A few bucks here and there. Right now I haven't been buying that much. I usually will set aside money and save so when the coin show comes to central florida I will go and try and get some good deals on coins.

  • thats groovy, I wonder if that sort of thing comes near me in Cali.

  • most likely. You can probably find a coin shop near you. The closest one to me is 30 mins away, thats why I wait for the coin show to come to Orlando, its a 40 min drive for me but I can get more at a better price.

  • good stuff, thanks for the quick responces and answers to my questions

  • That 1962 proof nickel is Kewl

  • what about the shield nickels?

I have some... you can check them out in my videos

  • hey ben! guess wut a few weeks ago i finally finished my jefferson nickel album from 1938-1983S, with most in the 50's being in BU, and some in the other decades. Im really proud of it and now i just gotta get the album from 38 to present and get the complete set

  • Hey man thats cool, I got to get mine together. It takes awhile when your not buying, I mostly just look in my change.

  • Beautiful collection

  • Thanks!

  • i did some research and they dont make proof buffalo nickles.they only make it for the gold ones or copy coins

  • ok cool

  • Comment removed

  • they didnt make war nickles to saVE copper

they did it to save nickle! war nickles are mostly copper

  • I just looked it up and your right thanks for the info

  • Cool collection! What is your most valuable nickel?

  • Im not sure, my most favorite nickle is my 1945 s toned war nickle.

  • Odd, I am also saving the westward journey nickels.....you never know what they can be worth.

  • exactly.

  • no date no value..... DO NOT CLEAN YOUR COINS WHIT ANY SOLUTION...if you do clean a coin do it whit....sopa and whater... or a eraser to rubbe the dirt whitout scraching the coin

  • I saw some sort of liquid at a coin store that restores the date on buffalo nickels, it would be interesting to see if it actually worked.

  • If I were you I would stay away from any coin "cleaning" solution. All they do is lower the value of a coin if not ruin the coin its self.

  • hey, do you have an ebay account??? I was wondering because I have one and I thought it would be cool if we could "trade" coins (?). I dunno if nothing else I'm just curious.

  • Yes I have an ebay account. I didn't know that you could use ebay to trade.

  • not really trade, but just if I need a coin that you have you could list it for me (if your interested in selling, I'm considering selling some wheats or useless coins for some silver ones) and vice versa. My account name is chatty1111 (don't ask)

  • BMD....I found a War Nickel on my own house floor a few months back. Either my son or I dropped it. I think he did :)

    SLA

  • thats funny

  • I'll take bronze=)

Another great vid, and I admire your quality of books for the coins.

I bought as many V nickels as im going to. Nickels are worth a little more then face value as is, so they might be worth something in time, if they ever pass the legislation to melt copper pennies.
