  • Not bad for an old man, he knows he's nailed it. Just shear magic..............

  • I was having my moment and it was rudely interrupted by all that applause. Geesh!

  • only Vlad can keep the audience as quiet as that...

  • incredible...

  • he makes the piano talk!

  • he makes the piano talk!

  • Thank you Vladimir and Robert schumann

  • quando la melodia e' di una nitidezza unica senza essere invadente, bellissimo!

  • If this was this touching, then i would've been crying if i was there at the concert.

  • Fantastic... i don't have the words. Nobody stays at the same level as Horowitz was....

    even Rachmaninov=)

  • @musicalguy93 Please, find Jung Lin's performances on my channel(she is first) !

  • Such a beautiful and sublime interpretation <3

This is a perfect example on how music can touch someones soul.

  • Horowitz maestro dei maestri. Insuperabile.

  • The audience is totally transfixed...

  • 38 people need their heads examined for disliking

  • people are crying...

  • Sublime! TY.

  • Remarkably affecting and very personal-- the merger of his youth and old age, and the bridging of two very different countries/cultures, among other things. Here, Horowitz, whose interpretations too often veered off in the direction of kitsch, utilizes his remarkable musical powers to express the most profound states of feeling.

  • This song is to be appreciated. When i first heard it i fell in love. Playing the piano is truly a gift. I appreciate Horowitz, even though I was never alive to see him. He passed in 1989 i believe. His piano playing will live on in the hearts of many who appreciate classical music FOREVER.

  • he died at 86, how does he get to 90 ...?

    Divine intervention...the music plays on........

  • I used to play it myself... But it never ever sounded anything like this. The way he plays is so beautiful, full of love...

  • Inégalable...

  • In the one second from .05 to .06 is the most beautiful little arpegio (is that correct?) each note a gem, a string of pearls or raindrops. Amazing.

  • Almost.....Too good. Actually, it IS too good.

  • Absolutely brilliant.

  • thank you Maestro.

  • So few notes, so much music.

  • it always seems to me as if the music streams out of Horowitz onto the keyboard, as if from its source

  • Truly magnificant. So peaceful.

  • not possible for me to hear this without tears in my eyes...this austere, unforgettable expression of beauty

  • Thank you! I always have to cry.... I love this "song"

  • Thank you for sharing your wonderful music to the world :)

  • No words...It's too beautiful! Thanks a lot!

  • Vlad was a true master. He had a touch of pure gold. Every sound was so precious in this Traumerei, so comforting, like a mother's kiss on a sore. When I listen to this, no matter how bad things are in my life and in the world, I know that goodness and beauty like this can be produced from the human heart. When I listen to this, I know everything will be alright. Thank you Vladimir.

  • Horowitz's triumphant return to musicianship after the dark years of 1983 and 1984 was so thrilling and life-affirming. In the years between 1985 and 1989, he was relaxed and songful. His Last Recording is filled with miraculous, bel canto playing. Viva, Horowitz!!! :-)

  • this is pure genius, I had tears listening to this. I love Horowitz, I love Schumann. great post!
