  • Exhorder=Roots. Pantera's hardcore phase came long after. Both bands kick ass, so stop being little faggots and THRASH!

  • Shit, that Ampli is asking for mercy xD

  • WTF? both are amazing!! dont fight about crap!! our kind doesnt fight about it... or are you "

    "believers"??

  • i love exoder and pantera

  • exhorder > pantera

  • hey prostate {prestonbate}!!!!!! why? free country.....nobody is talkin about pantera vs exhorder.....only the fact that they sound alike and somebody stole,imitated.....lighten up prostate!!!! hey mother fucker-oooooooooooooooh !!!!!! dont dare people.later betty crocker!

  • esta chido tocan chingon pero pantera sige siendo la ley

  • Didn't realize Dimebag and Anselmo were in two bands.

  • @xramcam Maybe Exhorder should bring up how Pantera blatantly stole their sound.

  • @tokiwartooth95 - dude, I have no idea who came first. But its clear one wasn't "influenced" by the other- they cloned the other's guitars and vocals .

  • @xramcam

    Exhorder- Get Rude Demo 1986

    Cowboys from Hell Full-length 1990

    Pretty clear who came first

  • @tokiwartooth95- Very interesting. Did not know this. Being influenced by bands is one thing. Imitating them makes you a tribute band.

  • @xramcam the similarities are less noticeable if you listen to slaughter in the Vatican first, you can see that cowboys from hell was an evolved version of Exhorder's style at the time, so I still put it at the level of influence, not imitation... except for the vocals, that was straight up copied.

  • @tokiwartooth95 Yeah, but Exhorder's Get Rude demo wasn't groove metal, it was just thrash, but you can tell Phil's vocals on Vulgar Display of Power and afterwards sound like this.

  • Both bands are still the kings of groove.

  • It a known fact exhorter is the reason pantera became heavy

  • PanterA And Exhorder are BOTH AWESOME!!

  • dimebag would be proud.

  • Fuck every poser bitching about Pantera vs Exhorder. Who was first? Who was best? Who the fuck cares?

  • @WhatUGawkinAt Pantera was the best. If Exhorder was as huge as Pantera they would be way over rated they dont the intensity Pantera had or has

  • @WhatUGawkinAt I don't they both kick ass

  • it has been years but i keep coming back for more grrrrrr

  • Sounds sooooo much like Phil Anselmo.

  • this has grown to be one of my all time fav. lyrics make a great song epic.

  • This is my favorite pantera album.

  • @superhonkey0101 Ha. Pretty funny.

  • exhorder never got the respect they deserved

  • @metallica4ever65 Because Pantera stole the music and made it mainstream.

  • @jinglebearr This was released in '92. CFH was released in '90. Hell, VDoP was even released a month before The Law. The fuck you smoking?

  • @Decapitat0r Slaughter in the Vatican was released in 1988, Pantera stole the music and popularized, Retard. I didn't mean this specific album. LOL you are fucking stupid.

  • @jinglebearr You're one stupid cunt. BOTH Slaughter and Cowboys were released in July of 1990. Before you talk shit, do some research. Dumb fuck.

  • @Decapitat0r The Slaughter in the Vatican demo was released in 1988, you fucking retard. DERP. Why don't you do some research?

  • @jinglebearr stole lol, bands influenece each other all the time it is hardly stealing, are you fucking retarded?, sorry don't answer that as it is obvious you are

  • @rockstix lol, yeah. "Influencing" when Phil Anselmo told Dimebag "This is the music we should play." Do some research, retard. lol y u so dum?

  • @jinglebearr wow i think the internet has found a new troll king well done jinglebearr you take the crown

  • wow !! i remeber i had this album !! it was around 1991-92 !!

  • Exhorder is Exhorder. PanterA is PanterA. They are both bad ass bands. Thats my opinion

  • @brutaltruth1976 agreed!

  • where can i find tabs for these songs???such an amazing earthquake band

  • where can i find tabs for this song??

  • ...a blind man walks into an Exhorder / Pantera concert...stop me if you've heard this....

  • middle frequency? what's that??

  • In a sense Exhorder might've invented groove metal but Pantera perfected it. This obviously is thrash metal in essence, but what Pantera added was a more southern groove that was incredibly heavy. They're both great, it's just Pantera grooved more, ex: Far Beyond Driven, Reinventing the Steel...

  • here comes another pantera comment woo. only vocals sound like phil not the band i reckon

  • MY OPINION: Phil Anselmo and Kyle Thomas are brothers with different surname. THERY'RE BROTHERS! I'm sure.

  • Pantera vs. Exhorder... Who wins?

    Music

  • @mylanta2837 PANTERA MOTHERFUCKER.

  • this is the most scooped eq ive ever heard in metal

  • @kristopolis816 haha i was just thinking the same thing

  • @kristopolis816 i like the tunes, but i'll never ever understand why bands scoop their guitar tones out so much. mids are nice too...

  • anyone know that kind of amps were used to record this?

  • Hey, motherfucker about to post a comment related to Pantera v Exhorder,

Don't you dare post that message

  • @prestonbtate Both are great :D

  • @prestonbtate or wat

  • @prestonbtate yeah i find that annoying

  • damn people...metal is about a movement not competition. its not about whos better its about brotherhood and unity. if you play metal and suck i still have more respect for you than if you played good in pop. why? cause metal takes talent to play.

  • I don't see a big similarity between this and Pantera. If they ripped off anyone, it's more likely to be the hardcore/groove metal band Helmet.

  • @AbandonedRustedMetal Dude nobody reaped off nobody it's just that PanterA is better

  • @PanterA1987PanterA

I prefer older Exhorder and Helmet to Pantera.

  • @AbandonedRustedMetal Well that's fine everybody has the right on his own choise but comon where is PanterA in the world of metal and where are Helmet and Exorder....I mean PanterA are the best of the 90's maby ever....

  • @PanterA1987PanterA

I'm not saying Pantera is bad or anything. But being popular doesn't mean being the best. In that very same way, you could say that Bieber is the best in the world of music, but he's not. I've heard metal that is way better than Pantera from really unpopular and underground bands. However, Pantera definitely were a lot better than most shitty bands from the 90s.

  • @AbandonedRustedMetal thank you so much for showing me helmet!!

  • @prestonbtate

    You're welcome. XD

Unfortunately, they're a very highly underrated band. They deserve more.

  • and it would be fucking nice if i could learn how to spell the most common word in the english vocabulary!

  • THESE FICKING GUYS SURE CAN RING MY FUCKING BELLS!!!!!!!!!eat shit!

  • dude............. epic!!!!!!!

  • This song reminds me of Dyers eve by Metallica.. The intro's sound pretty similar =P

  • wow alot of vaginas on the internet today talking about thrash and groove metal. Its funny how people will argue until they won but in realitly they don't know shit. Try starting a band and come up with your own material and then brag about what genre of metal or music it is. Do you think the guys that played in exhorder give a shit about your opinions. Fuck no. Quit your bitfching you filthly fucking cunts.

  • @MrDirtyUncle Well mate that's what the comment section is for! :-)

  • look nobody fuckin complaining about "pantera copying exhorder" everbody copys somebody you will never find a band doesn't metal is metal and bang your heads to what we like and groove metal is the best metal around exhorder helped start it pantera brought it to its peak and many other groove metal bands like throwdown are keeping it alive

  • @TheBurningcage27 I personally think Meshuggah and Devin Townsend didn't really copy anyone. Meshuggah sound a bit like Metallica when they started out but when they started to do mor eof their own thing I think they were pretty damn original. Other then those guys I totally agree.

  • @TheBurningcage27

Groove metal is not the best. -_-

  • "You'd rob a dead man's grave, then flaunt it like you did create."

This is a very ironic lyric, considering who it came from. Sounds like Phil had a guilty conscience.

  • Hail groove metal!

  • @GanjaPharmzor This is NOT groove metal you clown!

  • @TheRippingCorpse This IS groove/thrash metal, better know your damn music clown. And if this ain't groove metal, then what is it ? Fucking idiot.

  • @GanjaPharmzor Wait! You originally said GROOVE metal, no mention of THRASH until now??? Why's that?? Exhorder are more thrash/death with a few 'groove' bits. You are totally clueless!

  • @TheRippingCorpse So you're saying this particular song isn't groove metal ?

  • @GanjaPharmzor Oh fuck off you stupid, clueless cunt. I refuse to discuss it anymore on account of you being a total mong. Kill yourself.

  • @TheRippingCorpse What a marvelous way to chicken out; by refusing to comment any further ? Are you too silly too admit that I'm right ? Yes, Slaughter in the Vatican was pretty thrashy, and so was The Law, HOWEVER, The Law is often seen as their more Thrashy/GROOVE breakthrough, mainly because of the syncopated drums. And which song are we speaking off here ? That's right. THE LAW. So don't act like I'm clueless without coming with some valid points yourself.

  • @GanjaPharmzor I thought I told you to kill yourself.

  • @TheRippingCorpse Your a social disgrace, being unable to continue a discussion. I guess I've won ?

  • @GanjaPharmzor lolololol you won at the interwebz!!!!!!!!! U iz my hero!!!!! That is full proof that your parents needed contraception.

  • @TheRippingCorpse I've never seen a 36 year old man that is as infantile as you, and I'm fucking 16. Grow up you cunt.

  • @GanjaPharmzor So you're 16 eh? And you think you can tell ME about a band I've been into longer than you have been alive? Good stuff! But hey, you win at da interwebzzzz!!11!!!! lolololololololo

  • @TheRippingCorpse Fuck this, talking to you is useless.

  • @GanjaPharmzor Are you not dead yet?

  • @TheRippingCorpse No, I killed myself to live.

  • If you are a musician and you pay attention to both bands you can hear that they are very different. They both play groove metal but that's it.

  • @AtanasovPetar You are indeed correct. If you listen to Pantera albums before this album though you'll notice Pantera sounded completely different. They definetely saw the coming tide of extreme metal and hopped aboard. They sound different, sure, they're completely different bands. IMO Exhorder is much more technical in there approach. Pantera is very simplistic and minimalistic and is easier to listen to than Exhorder. Exhorder throws a lot of cool influences into there songs....

  • @B166ERqed Pantera may sound simplistic to you but they aren't.Songs like I'm broken,Revolution is my name or cowboys from hell may seem like easier songs than Exhorder songs but they are not my friend.Since i have been listening to metal no one can cover those songs good. It's just 99% of Pantera songs are kick ass to the max because they had this magic between them. And Darrell was a hell of a lead player i don't hear that in exhorder.

  • I recently found out that my Cousin Chris was the drummer in this band

  • Jamas habia oido esta banda, el parecido con pantera es mucho. Buena banda

  • there are very, very few artists who truly carved a musical style that was all their own idea. the vast majority of music ever made has been made by "copying" certain aspects of other music.

  • @jimmyshitbags Copying aspects and ripping off a bands entire sound is different.

  • Check out my band. Politicaust

we are thrash fucking metal from dallas, tx.

  • LOVE IT!!!!!!

  • lol if pantera copied this band, just be happy, you have know two great band to listen to ^^

  • 2:50 amazing transition

  • PHIL ON VOCALS??

    HAHAHA

  • Exhorder is the law.

  • Found them on Wikipedia by looking up groove metal. Hoorah for wikipedia!

  • @94Cioppa me too :))

  • dooooo as thou wilt!!!

  • Great Guitar Tone.

  • Hey I'm Phil I think we invented this sound, pfft Bullshit you and Darrel walked by a Exhorder show back in the late 80's and went wow man, were stealing this sound.

  • fucking love this song

  • @JobForATurtle totally agree.. anyways how can it not be anything like? if ur influenced by someone, isnt it naturally u do it the way YOU like it?

  • REALLY. you're all fucking stupid. Pantera and these guys were probably friends. Saying Pantera copied Exhorder is like saying every thrash band that came out in the 80's was copying Slayer. Leave it to youtube comments to start a feud over nothing.

  • is anselmo singing? :o

  • he has a very similar voice to Anselmo in Cowboys from hell.

  • Comment removed

  • btw, i love the vocals.

  • actually pantera's style is different, but Exhorder's music is awesome too!!!!!!!

  • You hear that? That's the sound of brutality that is missing these days.

  • Imo, I think that the big influence on Pantera and Exhorder is the and justice for all of Metallica, in fact, when i heard vulgar display of power I inmediatly thought ''oh man that sounds very similar to the and justice'', but anyway, that's my humble opinion

  • where has shit been all my life? and why am i just now findin them on youtube? needed it about 7 years ago when i was young n pissed.

  • It's not even a war. Pantera was heavily influenced by Exhorder, Phil said that himself. And Cowboys From Hell was a pretty good version of this album if you ask me. Pantera changed after that (once again), but to me Cowboys is still their greatest effort.

  • I'm a PanterA fan, just found out about Exhorder half an hour ago. Now I have two favourite metal bands to listen to! The more the merrier!

  • @Arnechk dude if u like this type of metal check these out sodom,vio-lence,darkness descends, overkill, kreator, exumer, exodus, sepultura, death angel, evil dead, uncle slam, some of them r pretty good

  • @Arnechk best comment ever

  • @Arnechk Im also a pantera fan, and discovered exhorder a week ago, i think the "exhorder vs pantera" thing is bullshit, they are just the best, both of them.

  • Pantera's Cowboys from Hell album is the only album where they sound like Exhorder THAT IS IT. After that Pantera developed their own style..

  • @TheExploit91 i actually think vulgar sounds more like the law

  • @DancingMedicineMan ehhh a couple songs.... But if you actually listen to the WHOLE CFH album and songs like "Message in Blood" you will see what im talking about.....

  • @TheExploit91 yeah and i thought Cadence was a rip off of concrete sledge you agree?

  • I guess it's impossible to be on an Exhorder video without having the gay argument/war with Pantera ...

  • @TheVinlandViking WAR ? is a buch of dickheads infront of a fucking computer , they are not causing any war...

  • @cnarro890 And that is why I put the word argument before "war" :-)

  • @TheVinlandViking hes a gay ass viking thats why...CELTIC POWER

  • am I listening to Anselmo on the vocals??

  • kl

  • since when was sounding like pantera a bad thing

  • im tired of hearing "Pantera copied this bands style! OMFG i have no life so ill make a big deal about these bands that arent even around anymore!!!!!!"

Just fucking get over yourselves. Metal is metal

  • @JobForATurtle Fuck that, Exhorder is going to be at Marilyn Death Fest! But both Pantera and Exhorder are good and as far as I know niether Pantera nor Exhorder claimed one was copying the other. But one nice thing you can say about Exhorder is that at least they never "inspired" all those shitty bands like Korn that claimed to of have taken influence from Pantera.

  • @ScreamBloodyGwar Well, even if they are shitty bands(Korn, Slipknot etc.), having any band claiming to be influenced by your band should be taken as a compliment.

  • @ScreamBloodyGwar Marilyn???

    MARYLAND! :D!!!!!!!

  • @BlackAureole shit didn't even mean to do that. Well it's a good thing Marilyn Manson has nothing to do with MDF.

  • @BlackAureole shit didn't even mean to do that. Well it's a good thing Marilyn Manson has nothing to do with MDF.

  • @JobForATurtle also, this band INFLUENCED pantera and was around a few years before so how could this band copy pantera?

  • @JobForATurtle i guess you love glamtera then.

  • @deraickripper who said i prefer either band?

  • @JobForATurtle Exhorder reformed, but who knows when/if they'll release another studio album

  • @JobForATurtle actually Exhorder is around still i just saw them at MDF in may

  • Comment removed

  • @JobForATurtle IT EXHORDER COPY PANTERA...

  • Comment removed

  • @SamoIIIX in 80s pantera = glam in 80s exhorder = thrash

    i like pantera but

    1 exhorder

    2 pantera

  • @SamoIIIX no?

  • @JobForATurtle You're right! Those people are stupid! Music could not have evolved without inspiration from older acts!

  • riffs's sound sound a bit like testament... and the voice sound like anselmo

  • The riffs in this song are so tough that they push meat through your dick and rip the flap off of your asshole! Cheers to all Thrashers, young and old!!

  • I have to say I have more respect for Exhorder just because they came from a more punk background while Pantera came from a glam background

  • "Recently, Thomas suggested that while it is possible Pantera may have been influenced by his band, the members of Pantera "work[ed] a ... lot harder than [they] did."

  • how exactly can you "steal a band's sound" ... there are plenty of bands who sound similar. and Exhorder didn't have songwriting talent. Pantera did. PANTERA RULES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • you have to be completely retarded not to understand the BLATANT facts that your EARS FUCKING TELL YOU - Exhorder = completely ripped off by GLAMTERA. yeah, first three Pantera albums are completely devoid of this sound. COMPLETELY- then Phil hears this Exhorder, and guess what? COWFAGS FROM HELL pops up. COINCIDENCE? no you fucking inbred retards. stop the 'hero worship'. Pantera = biggest fucking FRAUDS in Metal history, bar none.

  • @dethkult yea and the first three albums didnt even have phil anselmo.

  • @5150blssdmf that's because phil was a roadie for Exhorder at the time..... notice a pattern?

  • @Kauffdaddy Roadie for them? no he wasnt! he was a very good friend of Kyle Thomas, not a fucking roadie lol.

  • @dethkult Bro they were fucking young and talented.... with balls and skill! have you ever checked them out

or heard their live concerts?everything has an origin...similar style ? ok.........ripoff? fucking bullshit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

cfh and vulgar and fbd are the progressive thing. It"s the time fromr kitchen t home

  • the onlt reason people compare exhorder to pantera, is they both have the heavy groove factor!!! you cant deny that both bands are heavy as hell, but it took pantera a few albums until t.g.s.t.k. to match the speed of exhorder!!!! so just enjoy both bands!!!!!!

  • damm just damm there fucking great

  • Groove Masters

  • I was a friend of Frankie and the whole band back in the early 90's when they were still together, and also know Phil. Instead of starting a fight about who did what, why not just remember Frakie, and the influence Exhorder had on many New Orleans based metal bands in the Early 90's. Yes there were bad feelings between Exhorder and Pantera back in the day, I was there, but that's in the past, just Remember Frankie right now, he was a great very nice guy.

  • RIP Frankie Sparcello!!!

  • Great song R.I.P. Frankie Sparcello

  • This sounds like Exodus honestly. The production is different but I hear a lot of this in Tempo of the Damned.

    RIP Frankie

  • RIP Frank
