Im 14, i can play Enter Sandman by Metallica- learning the solo, ive been playing for a year and a half now, would you say that i could learn this song riff within a month or so?
they main riff part goes from 5th to 7th fret, not 7 to 5th like you did, and when you go back to the 3rd one, de 5-7 part should be played once, and then when you hit 3 pull of on it. when you do it youll think, yes that's the right sound.
The "player's eye view" is ingenious and superb. Nearly all guitar lessons on Youtube are laboured and boring - even when the playing may be fine. Your approach is just like I've learned it myself - only massively accelearated and without all the hard work! I'm off to subscribe now, thanks very much indeed.

Sorry, this aerial view just robs this video from being a help to many. Please shoot your videos from a front plain view. If I were at your house visiting with you, and you were to show me a lick, I would sit in plain view across from you. I would not walk behind you and look over your shoulder to see the lick.
That is the first time I've seen anyone make a guitar instruction video from that camera angle, and I have to say "that's the way you do it". I'm a lefty so I have to reverse it, but if your right handed that's what you see when you look down at your fretboard. Good job.
Quick question, this is my first time trying to see if I can learn how to play a guitar and I love this song so..
Towards the end when you go 7--57785-7... (at 1:28), are you doing one string at 8 or two? Can't really tell. I'm writing this out in a way that makes sense to my brain. Normal tabs don't work with it. ^_^
In the 80s I was auditioning guys for my band and the guy I chose taught me this riff, he turned out to be a real sleezebag whose motivation for joining our band was to hijack our drummer. Once it became obvious what he was planning I strangled the fucker and threw his corpse into a sink hole.My conscience troubled me for a while but his two Fender Deluxe amps & USA Tele Custom helped me rationalize his murder. Still have the occasional nightmare after hearing this song, don't play it much.

I learned it on regular tuning but I must try it on G tuning, gives it more balls.
The tone is quite simple to get but you must start with a '58 Les Paul, or equivalent humbucker equipped axe, through an "all valve" amp, back off the tone on your axe then add reverb/delay whatever,....according to taste.
Most of the tone comes from the guitar/amp combination any effects pedals you may add are merely just sprinking a bit of "fairy dust".
Don't rely on pedals too much use your amp and axe.
