Yeh also street punks walk like 10 miles to a show or take the bus and end up squatting at the house on the lawn like i do, i also can afford leather jackets or to dye my hair, also im not a faggot who stays out of the pit and im only fucking 15 years old who can out drink any glam punk, out fuck any glam punk, and out fight any glam punk
@deathnote62 thank you but that comment was made a year ago, i was younger and stupid, im not punk anymore (it got boring and immature) i still wear some of the clothes and i do still want what many sing about (peace, equal rights, no capitalism,) but i found out nobody wants to listen to a kid with a mohawk and ripped up shirts, i still have something to say but dress in a manner that doesnt make me seem like a mindless drone like 75% of punks are
@dogma264 yeah i get what ur saying, it became an image with nothing important on it, I allways avoid labels, i never called myself "punk" or anything, but I Enjoy the music of the clash or the message of bands like the dead kennedys or leftover crack, I find important too. When it Become a Empty Fashion well i fell a little dissapointed.
Now im much into The Zeitgest Movement, dont know if u know about them, they talk clearly about stuff as the monetary system and interesting things
@deathnote62 Yeah i know what that is, i saw the film it talked about religion and some other nonsense idk it seem all TOO farfetched for me so i didnt bother finishing it
Now a days im for peace, equality, and anti war...basically a hippie since i smoke pot and whatnot, but the way i think of it is punks (anarcho-punk that is) are like hippies with teeth, ill still get into a fight if i see someone hit a woman or like kick a dog or whatever but not so much getting drunk all day ya dig?
we don't call them "glamour" punks, we call them fashion punks or posers...but this was CLOSE if not 100% accurate. the guys in the picture could have been either one. I have known crack smoking, neo nazi fighting, factory job working street punks to wear those plaid pants and a painted jacket. hell I have known two ex-con street punks to wear that shit. Chicago isn't the norm, it's a huge city, but this subculture is very diverse world wide...
so a streetpunk (varios defenitions) speend his hard earned money on food and beer.
i drink beer and i eat, i still have money for studs and records and patches.
the kids who still live in thier safe home suburban invoirment, may also want to be rebelious just like us, and they dont have to pay for food at home, so they can afford new stuff.
so if a streetpunk all of a sudden inherets (not sure spellings right) a lot of money, and goes and by himself more studs, a pair of docs (face it, the best boots on the market, had my first docs for 5 years) and a new jacket, he is all of a sudden a glampunk. that doesnt make sense! the important thing isnt how much money you have. its how you spend them.
iam fucking poor lower class and i dont care wat a wear like i have boots that i got 4 10$ and alot of shit was givin 2 me like patches studs shirts ect FUCK GLAM PUNKS !!!!!!!!!!!
fuck alot of shit was givin to me like the bondage belt patches my leather and studs and i made my shirts and made my pant but most of the suff was givin 2 me from my homie mark hes a old school street punk and iam dirt fucking poor it sucks
I went through a glam punk phase for a while, but i was worse off then, fucking had 3 bondage pants that ran me dry, and I just wore those fuckers, now I have 40 dollar boots, 8 dollar jeans and 12 dollar or homemade shirts

I hate trendy punk gear and clothing so much. Times were great when punks wore boots and leathers and that was it.
