The Dallas Stars my team got a very good and one day star player in Brunnstrom. I'm just glad the Red Wings didn't get him...its unreal how much talent that Red Wings team has. That being said the Stars have young studs Neal, Eriksson, Brunnstrom and qaulity vets like Morrow, Richards, Ribeiro, Ott, Sydor, Modano, Lehtenin among others. This Stars team when 100 healthy will be a stanley Cup contending team. Go Stars

Why do so many people keep proclaiming that Brunnström has signed with one team or definitely won't with another? No one knows yet and it would be illegal for him to sign with or agree to sign with any team at this point. I wonder how much Lidström's phone call will help the Wings; Fabian seems to really want to play top six minutes immediately, and the Wings definitely can't promise that.

The Leafs could have signed him last year, when only they knew about him due to their exellent scouting in sweden, but since he didn't want to play in the AHL with the Marlies,the Leafs didn't sign him. Now 25 other NHL teams want him. Now he's going to either Toronto, Vancouver or Detriot.

Now that Ive read more news and stuff, watched more videos...this guy wont make that huge an impact on 80% of NHL teams, because most have a speed skater who can score goals like this guy; I think he is best suited for either Vancouver or, the one I think will never happen, but Boston. As a Devils fan, we have money to spend on a new goalie and some more aggressive defensmen(Stuart, Blake?)...so we dont need this guy cause we got Gionta!

Second of all the goalies and defensmen in the Elite-League are NOTHING compared to those in the NHL. Adding to that, his skills aren't compatible with Malkin, Ovechkin, and other players who started in foreign leagues that were dubbed "next best."

Ok...I dont know too much about this guy or about what teams are in the lottery to sign him...but I do know this: If Brunnstrom lands in Detroit, they will become the Yankees/Spurs/Tiger Woods/Roger Federer/Chelsea...whatever you want to call the best, of hockey. He will complete them; their only problem regarding the Cup this year is the fact that they aren't starting the Dominator as much as they should; Osgood is slipping.

i dont disagree that he would probably want to play with lidstrom, but i think the sedins and or naslund make a fairly enthralling case as well. Either team will be happy to get him. Here's to the swedes for making the second best hockey players in the world. (canada being first) I think the leafs will get Hossa, Spezza, maybe Ovechkin, almost definitely Sid the Kid, Pronger and Lidstrom probably too. And have Toe Blake and Scottie Bowman as co-Coaches.
