  • I'm not really up to date in terms of music history, but at the time this song and MC5's "Kick out the jams" put Led Zeppelin to shame.

  • IGGY'S GOD The STOOGES ARE THE ANGLES IGGY RULES AND STILL LIVES WE NEED HIM HERE IN AUSTRALIA

  • Gotta be the most badass backline ive ever seen

  • THAT'S GOT TO BE DAVE ALEXANDER, THE ORIGINAL BASSIST. WOW WAS THAT GUY AWESOME!!!!!!

  • @movienut710 you ain't shitting. most underrated self-taught bass player ever.

  • yeah

  • man t hat shit is heavy!

  • do you know where i can find this and other stooges boots?

  • When did he shit on stage?

  • I just got a boner.

  • Brilliant!

  • Damn!!!!!!!!!1 Look at those speakers. They must have been loud as fuck.

  • @fantasykissass They were!! I first saw the Stooges in the fall of 1969 at the Grande in Detroit. I was only 13 at the time. Their opening group believe it or not, was the ALLMAN BROS. The next time I saw them was in the early spring of 1973 when I was 17. they were playing at the Ford auditorium in downtown Detroit to promote their album "Raw Power" I will never forget when they lurched into the opening chords of "Raw Power" it was pretty intense!!

  • @fantasykissass in those days you had to have bigger amps because the PA systems weren´t powerfull enough to get the sound across. plus in the open it´s a different story than inside ofcourse. still loud as fuck I guess

  • One day my band CANDY will be good, like stooges

  • this is totally badass!!!

  • Anyone know where the audio footage of this concert is from?

  • The picture is very Sabbath-y looking.

  • @sahbian Well, it was 1970. I would even venture to say the Stooges are at least as important as Black Sabbath.

  • @SpyridonKaprinis well said. Iggy never needed face paint, props, laser light shows etc...Just his band and some speakers were enough. The Stooges were so damn raw and authentic, # 1 in my book.

  • rocks.

  • One mans mistake is another mans ........... uhhh ........ nonmistakey thingee .

  • @sgrroiii Yeah. I think it's more like something you need to see. This is probably around late 1970, 71 when they started dissolving with Don Galluci refusing to do a third album, Iggy on cocaine etc

  • @Koolkitties

I think the picture's good enough. Just, like, close your eyes, and imagine that stoned dude walkin like an *angry* motherfucker...it's sooooo badass! There's holes in the stacks dude, Stooges didn't give uh fuck! Brootz! I can see it now, bright afternoon sky, a shaky camera, a cool wind comes over and lifts the Iggsters hair... and he errupts like a rock n' roll barbarian!! "I'm LAUST!! I'M LAWST!! I"M LOST!! YE-AH!!"

  • The stooges were really, really unfocused back then. Every recording I've heard of them from this period has had really obvious mistakes.

  • @Koolkitties

Well, yeah... when you're stoned out of your mind lack of focus could be somewhat of a problem.

  • @Koolkitties ha ha ha

  • @Koolkitties yeah the heroin took its tool. plus you can only party 24/7 so long before everthing falls apart

  • @Koolkitties Punk rock wasn't cut out for perfection.

  • hell yea!!!!!

  • magic

  • MERVEILLEUX TEMOIGNAGE! THANK YOU

  • Where did you get this?

  • freaking aweosme. i never hear any funhouse stuff live from back then
