1st -dude just to clarify, in the beginnig is the music of hyrule, but you're in thieve's town O_O 2nd- how do you do to connect the cables , that is emulator or the real game boy advance 3dr- how could you do that glitch, beacause, when Link is going to jump the mirror doesn't work

1st: I was using the mirror glitch inside the Eastern Palace (1st Light World dungeon) and I exit from Thieve's Town. The overworld is the Darkworld map but uses the Light World elements (LoZ theme). I had to use the mirror to activate the REAL Dark World.

2nd: Buy GBA link cables, only 1 is required for 2 player (and 2 GBA Copies of ALTTP)

3rd: You have to use the mirror the same time as Link starts to jumps off, it's a 1 frame window.

This is the real A Link to the Past BUT the Palace of Four Sword does NOT appear on the SNES version, not even the Wii Virtual Console release.

no there is a way without using the glitch. It does involve having at least 2 GBA, a link cable and 2 GBA versions of ALttp.

Beat both Ganon in A Link to the Past and Vaati in Four Swords to unlock the Palace of Four Swords.

I seriously can't believe they changed the 'spin attack' sound effect as well as giving him the 'young link' attack sounds. REALLY!? Did that absolutely HAVE to be done!!!??? Fucking hell, it sure sounds like Ninten'doh!

Anyhow, awesome video. I suspect the scrolling/glitching messes with the memory area of the cartridge to 'force' certain areas of memory to be bypassed/accessed. I wonder if there are already game cheat codes to directly access this content w/o glitching.

how can u have hammer if u are in the light world you can only get it by defeating that wizard in the palace of hyrule and then defeating the first boss and u dont even have the blue sword...is this The Legend of Zelda:A link to the past or is this something else

@Greenalink My personal opinion is that if the coder's DIDN'T intend on it being solved this way, it's cheating. Just like when I play first person shooters and persons take advantage of inadequacies in bounding boxes or clipping texture panels on a ploygon, thats ALSO cheating.

First part, respectfully disagree mainly because as a speed runner, glitches are a best friend for speed tricks, shortcuts and even sequence breaks. Some developers think glitches are a feature (OoT 3D)

Second part (FPS), much more believable, luckily games like Reach and Bad Company 2 has the 10 second countdown, forcing players to get back in the field, and as long the weapons are not unblanced that was caused by a bug (MW2 Javelin glitch), tournaments can be hyped.

@Greenalink I cant count the amount of times I found my self forgetting to use speed run. But I never really gave anythought to abusing it in that way. Now that's not saying I haven't cheated in a game by abusing a glitch like that or using a device to code to do so. Being the proud owner of a game shark, game genie and a few CD based cheat discs and datel cheat devices. I only use them once I've ran the fun out of a games replayability. The I hack the shit out of it for more fun!

You should've added that there is some specific timing on the usage on the Mirror,

as well as your positioning when you do the jump down from the waterfall. I've gotten stuck on the edges of the walls many times because of the awkward positioning of this glitch.

Okay, So this is not fake or hacked you say.. and ofc only works on the GBA version.. Which i have, aswell as the SNES version. So i can tell you right away how fake it is, First of :-) How come you have the golden glove from 4'th dungeon, Dark World and the Moon Pearl 3'd dungeon Light World. And most odd... the Cane of Somaria found in the 6'th dungeon Dark World.. But none of the other items from the dongeon in between.. Nor have you successfully completed the second and third one in L-W..?

For that you need to watch the very vist mirror glitch video (Early Dark World).

The reason why Dark world became Dark World (like this video) is because I use the Light World Eastern Palace to go out of bounds and exit by Thieves Town.

Since the game thinks it's the Light World, when using the mirror it only brought in Dark World Elements such as getting the coloured swords in the Palace of Four Sword.

I kep trying to do the mirror glitch in both east palace and theive's town and I press tha A button when I'm in the middle of the ledge. Am I doing something incorrect? And try out a glitch I found messin around. Go to the blacksmith's house ( light world ) do the flute and pegesaus boots thing, and if link is walking fast, run into a tree and link will start floating.

Yes. It's possible to Mirror glitch starting from the East Palace and then go to the Palace of 4 Swords

But it's better to do it from Thieves' Town for 2 reasons

*It's nearer to the bonus dungeon and Thieves' Town can serve as a checkpoint if you mess up the Out of Bounds part.

*You can only clear the bonus dungeon when the game thinks it's the "Real Dark World" Thieves Town is a Dark World Dungeon so completing the extra dungeon early is possible.

There was a person who found the mirror glitch before I did. Search "A Link to the Past Super Gltch". I assume the player was messing around.

All of the dungeons are technically linked together, but it;s impossible to enter Turtle Rock mainly because the only rooms that has jump-able ledges/walls freezes the game as you enter the room in the most unusual way.

Ugh yeah i hate to be a bother but its not working for me either. I got into the palace just fine but when i try to fight the moth the game glitches on me and i have to mirror back to the beginning.

When i try to mirror jump i can do it but when i try to go outside and mirror back into the "real dark world" it just takes me to the light world.

If the DS plays the GBA version then yes. It doesn't matter what system it's on (GBP, GBA, SP, Micro, DS, DS Lite) it's the actual game version that counts (Wii VC/SNES game copy doesn't work).

This is seriously funny to do in Ganon's Tower. By following an easy route, you will come to a distorted version of the bossroom of Thieves' Town, the Ether-medallion will drop from the ceiling and you can pick it up from below the floor, even if you've already got it.

There is the description. But when you go in to the Thieves Town dungeon you use the mirror the same time as you jump off the ledge. It works if you hear both Jump and mirror sound effects at the same time. Then watch the rest of the video to understand.

You know, you could have just used the magic hammer, from what I figure, it does about as much damage as level 3 sword, except the hammer is a bit slower.
