  • Eddie is one of my favourite players so to see him at the start of this programme just blew me away. :-D

  • This was a great documentary which was shown on Channel 4 TV (UK). I had the pleasure of meeting the guy who filmed it when Tony Ellis (who is featured in the programme) came to the UK and played in London. If you are a banjo nut like myself this was one of the best peogrammes about the banjo and its history. It is still avaliable on DVD and is well worth every penny a dvd you can watch over and over again and never get tired of!! :D

  • Eddie,

After the contest on Staten Island, you took me to you Van and showed me "Heartaches" and I'll never forget it...you're the best...Jack Baker NYC

  • Hi Eddie,

I remember judging a banjo contest on Staten Island with you and martha years ago. Doug Touchman rain the contest and you, martha and I had great fun trying to figure out Doug's weird numbering system for the bands...

It is great to see you playing again...Jack Baker NYC

  • Came here because of the brain surgery too. is he ok?

  • @matt29171 Yes, Eddie is recovering just fine. I'm going to meet him the weekend of June 4th. He is amazing! He still is great and his playing is top notch, especially that he is pickin' still in his seventies.

  • Just got turned on to EA because of his brain surgery. Damn fine music!!!!!

  • sounds more like Eddie's bounce and a little blue bell, at :55 seconds
