Sheltered Youth.. but this is where it all began for me! A link from Jarre to dance... the rest??? i don't remember but there was forest, convoy, fields and LOVE x
@hoffmanshades IDK, the sampled computer version seemed to loop far too much and too obviously... not as much RAM available as in whatever BTB made the song with. I kinda preferred the synthesised Atari "remix" that played after the title screen.
However you certainly saw the difference between the two machines when playing the game itself... the ST port didn't endear itself to me. Slowwwww and terribly unresponsive, no fun at all compared to Xenon 1 or most other shooters :-(
I found this on 12" limited remix megablast rap (version) '88 at a car boot sale yesterday and grabbed it for 50 pence! get in !! will upload it as soon as I get the chance. :D TOP TUNE>^^^
@CannubaKid There was a version on Record mirror on 7 inch only that was completely different to that too, another rap version with Merlin on :) I got the same one as you and it's fresh! But this one is way better!
I used to buy Amiga magazines even though I didn't have an Amiga. To me Amiga games were something so good they were out of reach to me and my pathetic life.

Well, at least you didn't long for Acorn Archimedes games lol.
Brilliant! I remember having such an awesome full on soundtrack was the coolest thing to happen to computer games since the ZX Spectrum sampled "He slimed me!" on the Ghostbusters game!
to bloody right, i had an STE respect to the Amiga though, dont forget at the time it knocked the spots off any Amstrad, Speccy or dare i say it BBC( gotta love Elite on the BBC B, lol) comp..........the ST and Amiga were the Oxford and Cambridge of the PC world back in the day..........
Back in the late eighties I heard this. Wow, this brings me way back in my high school days. Todd Terry, acid house, hip house and Meat Beat Manifesto. I feel young all over again. lol...
My wife just doesn't get it... but I do!!! I remember rushing out to Tandy's to get my walkman stereo to listen to this, back in the summer of '88!! and 2 years later hearing it on the ST playing Xenon by the Bitmap Brothers!!
I had Xenon 2 on the Atari STfm 520 while my neighbour had an Amiga. I preferred the intro on the Atari as it sounded ace, but the in game music on the Amiga did sound a touch better. They should soup this game up for a HD down-loadable version for the 360 & PS3.
Let's be honest. The Atari *was* first choice for many musicians on account of the sound chip and the integrated MIDI ports. The blitter chip helped graphically. What didn't help was the fact that Atari couldn't sell a life jacket to a drowning man.
