  • Awesome video...the nice lightning flashes..thunder...and the very way the pounding hail was causing the flooded-street to look as if it was all boiling over...! BTW...just 4 days after your own awesome video...on 7/23/08...I got some BIG Tstorms over my own place....severe Tstorms..with tornadic-like clouds..and later..lotsa good lightning and great thunder....WANNA see it???

  • What kind of camera are you using? It captures a lot and picks up sound very well.

  • I live here in TX and I always find the AZ summertime monsoon an interesting phenomenon of meterology. I always wondered something, why dont they have storm sewers in the tucson area? it always seems the streets/gulleys flood quickly in the storms...

  • Because the city is retarded. =] Haha. Most of it just runs out into the desert and gets soaked up into the dirt.

  • In Tucson, the city was designed in a way so that the water flows downward. It's hard to explain but the streets were engineered a certain way to prevent floods. It's actually very effective as Tucson is ranked one of the safest places in America from natural disasters. Our city is also known for its vast reserves of well-water. This might explain why.

  • Great video.

  • Looks like it's going Nuclear near the end

  • Yes! I love monsoon season. I can sit and watch the storms for the longest time. Thanks for sharing! -John
