This characteristic comes in to play when you have higher cylinder pressures like in performance cars. More stable fuel = consistent burn in the cylinder = less detonation, knock. Higher octane fuel would never be bad for a car. Maybe a waste unless the vehicle is programmed for it, but not bad. Oh yah, EAT A DICK
