pretty nice, but your project settings properties were incorrect. you were showing black bars on the sides. like editing a 4x3 clip on a 16x9 timeline. :)

can somebody help me please? i have sony vegas movie studio 8. i just got a new samsung video camera. and when i put it on vegas for video editing, it only played audio, and i downloaded the k-lite codec pack and video and audio work on windows movie maker, but not vegas. SOMEBODY HELP ME OUT PLEASE!

It depends on what file it is. Sony Vegas only plays the audio for .avi's so maybe you need a video converter. I would try .wmv.

Well,record the commentary then import it into sony vegas,import the video clip you want to put commentary over.Line up the two audio tracks,make sure the volume of the commentary is louder than the video clip's volume.Hopfully you'll have commentary just like the pros!

you need to convert the file to .wmv cuz when your done renderin your video its a .avi file. so yeah :D

That would indicate you've got an odd codec. Use GSpot to determine the codec, and be sure the codec is on your machine. It likely isn't.

It's generally a good idea to have two monitors, but you can resize the preview area in the ProTypeTitler to fit in a smaller space.

First you have to enable multicam editing with ctrl+shift+d. Then you select your video tracks in the timeline and choose tools/multicamera/create multicamera track. You also can switch video with the numberpad keys.
