  • man, you keep talking about using our bodies more... and it's the last step really, in my self-affirmation process... to finally have a healthy body. I think I'll watch a vew more videos and hope for more encouragement!

  • Even though most of this information wasn't new to me, I think you have somehow inspired me to try and be more active... Either that, or it's my desperation to get rid of my headaches and crappy feelings lately. So, I've started trying to make a habit of running as of 3 days ago...

    On that topic, I think that's the biggest problem for most people. I've read a lot about the benefits of exercise, and I've vowed to do it often, but the lack of habit + laziness prevented it a lot of the time...

    And i completely agree. So important something as small as using stairs vs elevator, its the mentality behind it. So many people cant even bring themselves to use a staircase because they say they get out of breath at the top. PRECISELY the reason to use the stairs.

  • The atoms and molecules that your body is made of, were in the food you ate yesterday. You are made of the things you eat, so if you eat crap food you become made of crap.

    This knowledge is what makes me eat properly and thats one of many things keeping me a degree and a half above perpetual anxiety :)

    Seriously though, great video! I do walk all the time since that's the way I prefer to get around and I often make excuses to go out for a walk.

    You can put this time to good use to. Bring an audiobook to listen to while you're on the move and you'll learn something new for example. :)

  • I walk to work!(45 minutes) and walmart(1 hour) I can't drive and half the time don't have bus fair and the other half I don't bother riding the bus

    now I wanna go for a walk threw the neighborhood before I play my videos games

  • I really hope this opens someones eyes. I've already been trying to eat more healthy and exercise and it DOES help. Especially here up north when it's all dark, you just get crazy lazy and tired if you don't eat properly and move.

  • The reference to the grocery bags: that's totally me, I grab all of the bags at one time XD

    Also, when you feel pain while exercising, you have to decipher whether or not it is a "good" pain or a "bad" pain. "Good" pains mean that you're working your muscles and pushing them past their limits and will build up after they stop hurting, but "bad" pains can cause physical damage to your body. An example of a "good" pain is soreness in muscles and an example of "bad" pain is joint or tendon pain.

    It will *definitely* help build endurance. Especially when he is moving his arms around doing work or running.
