Cats like to drink out of faucets because it is wired in the cat to believe running water is cleaner to drink and so a cat will prefer to drink from a tap rather than out a bowl. In the nature running streams are cleaner to drink from than stagnant water.

Putting out water that gets full of hair/dirt, etc, and then gets dumped out and wasted, verses getting a faucet that can be set to auto-drip and (therefore) only deliver the small amounts (and fresh amounts) 24/7 for kitties. Hmmm, that would SAVE water, not waste it.

I'll keep my auto-faucets and hope that others get their kitties the same thing.
