@christinaxyeahx7 Shrek isn't her first West End musical. She was in Thoroughly Modern Millie a few years ago too. She's not half as good as Sutton Foster (originator of both roles on Broadway), though.

I saw the show in preview on May the 12th, and as a Belgian (specially came to London to see the show) I hardly know who Amanda Holden is since we don't have ITV on the cable in Belgium. I loved her performance and the other cast members where also very good. Why are people always bashing on someone just because he/she is a celebrity ? If someone is a celebrity does that automatically means he or she can't sing ? The show - I had a seat on the first row - was worth my 45£.

The reason for this is because at the time it was supportingly aired, the entire cast would have been performing the actual show in Drury Lane. I know this because when I was at the X-Factor, Janet Jackson filmed her appearance hours before it was showed and thats how they do it.
