@vantagetes thank god you wear a hard hat cos that last one just flew past you. lol, no offence meant dude, Paid by the hour is a comment we in the UK use when someone is going on the go slow i.e. taking their time.
@vantagetes workin on hourly rate eh..? not sayin anythin bout his control, he knows how it works an he's a relatively smooth operator, can't imagine thats his first time behind the controls, wasn't trying to offend anyone, just thought to myself if you weren't there to guide him, productivity might not have been the best..
let her go slowly dont let the volume of watter shift ure pump station why not put annother section 2 feet slow silt a bit how big ur pump i drive 450 john deere in montreal quebec 20 years exp like 2 c competent workers
Is the serrated edge something your company added on, or did the bucket come with that edge on it ?? i would like to add one of those to my ditch bucket would help i think
While you have a point how do you expect him to get any good without having seat time? I know the way you suggest doesnt work from personal experience! The only way to learn is get on things and practise!
I think he means have them watch while you are doing it, explaining as you go, THEN let them try it out. If you just let them jump in and go they won't learn the proper techniques.
When i started i was on a Hitachi EX 350 doing ground work. my boss was working a D6R blade looking after 5x Volvo A30C trucks while an old Komatsu PC450LC was bulking. my boss came over to me and said "ure on the blade now" i had never been on one before, i sat in the seat he said this is back and forward and this is the blade movments and walked away. i had to look after them trucks for the rest of the day. That is how you lern my friend :) best working day of my life.
tru tru every one has to start some where. how else would he get the exp he needs? that is the problem knower days people want EXP but how do you get EXP if people dont let you jump on the machine...? i let people just on my stuff to lern its the best way.
You should'nt let people just jump in. You have to instruct them they have to sit off to the side and watch! Then when there ready you can throw them in!
great job jason! I agree you should have hoped in the machine, but I get where your comeing from. And water on one side hole on the other I wouldnt walk on that thing lol! And also whats with those buckets and alberta, talk to someone somewhere else and they havent heard/seen that kind, but yet every excavator with a q/c has one, including the 850!And also why didnt he just "mow down" the dam I guess you would them be digging blind! cant wait for the other ones and great job!
bloodyhell.. i can't believe im actually watching these vids... i can't help but be compelled to watch that dam break... but where the hell is video 2/3!?!? I hate you vantage...
LOL no no this is a friend of mine from the next town over. We do cars and video games so for him to sit and watch a machine play around in the water is amusing =D
o sorry man didnt now that eh? but im used to watch vid's off dave's farm and they allways leave comments like that.( cos he has got a lot off haters) so i allways say: iff u dont like them dont watch them. lol

Just a Question for u what kind of cutting edge is on the bucket i have seen edges like that on graders but not on excavators ??
diggerdave51 1 year ago
@diggerdave51 It's a serrated clean up, gives a little more digging power than a straight edge.
vantagetes 1 year ago

Thanks
diggerdave51 1 year ago
@diggerdave51 They bolt on just like a straight blade, ask around at your edge suppliers.
