micah matsuzaki was a very talented WR for BYU in the early 90's, Ty Detmer's favorite receiver but he never got a chance to play pro I don't know why, they flat out robbed him, I suspect his ethnicity had a lot to do with it also

asians do have the size to play football. great running backs , wr and dbs are from the 5'9'' to 6'1'' range. Linemen arent even that tall. You dont have to be tall to play football. But the one thing that is not popular in Asian culture is Steroids. A young Asian American taking steroids just to compete at a highschool level is extremely rare. Its just not in the culture and its not a priority. But most definitely the athleticism is there. Anyone can look to the olympics for proof.

he doesnt start BUT he does get some playing time. especially if they go into a nickel set or when they start putting the secondary guys in. ive only seen him in nickel coverage or when they need an extra safety but thats about it. great special teams guys though

I'm Asian and would love to see more Dat Nguyens breaking out of the college ranks, but unfortunately, Asians with the requisite size and athleticism to play in the NFL are few and far between. Like I said - they are few and far in between. I do see lots more Asian kids playing HS football these days than in the past, which is encouraging. I think that in the next 20 or so years, there will be a smattering of Asian NFL players, but due to our small numbers in the USA in general, will never be that numerous. Besides, size does matter. If you're a 5'6" running back, very explosive and fast and all that, but there's a 6'1" guy who runs just as well, who do you think gets on the field?
