The safety paper goes off the edge. This is not possible. if you scan safety paper you get lines all over if you try to print a scaned safety paper image ONTO MORE safety paper you wouldn't be able to see anything. This is something all right but a genuine copy or scan it is NOT. This is a fake. A dated stamp would be ON the safety paper not a LAYER on a PSD file. I've scaned, saved and updated documents.

You don't know what you're talking about. Try this--print out the document on your home printer. Now you have a flat real paper document that obviously only has one layer. Now rescan it in with OCR turned on and open it in Illustrator. Close and save it (to get it to compress) and then reopen it. You will find almost identical layers.

Acrobat 10 version that I use very sophisticated. These docs were scanned in Hawai (or the WH) and saved to PDF format...and then enhanced (not tortured). Then that PDF was sent to the Pres, but not before they were contrasted using Adobe Illustrator of a recent vintage.

Have any of you heard of OCR (optical character recognition)? The document was scanned using this technology.. Hence the text information and use of layers. I use this technology on a daily basis and receive similar results. Sometimes letters words etc are inexplicably on different layers when they are right next to each other.

@ilion12345 The way OCR works the images are embedded into the document along with the text that is scanned. In fact i was able to recreated a pdf with these layers by importing a jpg image of the birth certificate in Acrobat Pro, running acrobat's OCR software and then optimizing the resulting pdf for web. When I opened the pdf in Illustrator was exactly like the one from the white house, layers and all. Layers only prove that OCR software was used.
This fraud is a fraud because, like Rathergate, the document has KERNED letters that in an honest document would be typed.
Typewriters can NEVER kern letters. But kerned letters are all over this fraud.
Kerning is shown with words like 'liar.' The l,i vs a,r are pulled together -- using less space. That's kerning. Typewriters - -every last one -- can't do that. They ALWAYS use the same space for every letter.

I have worked with digital media for more than a decade, and I can tell you from my expertise, those 'artifacts' are normal. I have 2 scanners, one simple basic scanner, and one that I use for extremely hi-res scans. My lesser scanner puts artifacts when scanning an image. Also I have seen a lot of Illustrator documents that come from photos and contain those same issues.

The safety paper goes off the edge. This is not possible. if you scan safety paper you get lines all over if you try to print a scaned safety paper image ONTO MORE safety paper you wouldn't be able to see anything. This is something all right but a genuine copy or scan it is NOT. This is a fake. A dated stamp would be ON the safety paper not a LAYER on a PSD file. I've scaned, saved and updated documents.

You don't know what you're talking about. Try this--print out the document on your home printer. Now you have a flat real paper document that obviously only has one layer. Now rescan it in with OCR turned on and open it in Illustrator. Close and save it (to get it to compress) and then reopen it. You will find almost identical layers.

Acrobat 10 version that I use very sophisticated. These docs were scanned in Hawai (or the WH) and saved to PDF format...and then enhanced (not tortured). Then that PDF was sent to the Pres, but not before they were contrasted using Adobe Illustrator of a recent vintage.

Have any of you heard of OCR (optical character recognition)? The document was scanned using this technology.. Hence the text information and use of layers. I use this technology on a daily basis and receive similar results. Sometimes letters words etc are inexplicably on different layers when they are right next to each other.

The video poster has no idea what he's talking about.
This has been in scanning software for years. The problem is, whoever scanned the document should have scanned it as a "photo".
If you don't scan it this way, the image is scanned with OCR meta-data included, this meta-data is being shown here as layers.

@ilion12345 The way OCR works the images are embedded into the document along with the text that is scanned. In fact i was able to recreated a pdf with these layers by importing a jpg image of the birth certificate in Acrobat Pro, running acrobat's OCR software and then optimizing the resulting pdf for web. When I opened the pdf in Illustrator was exactly like the one from the white house, layers and all. Layers only prove that OCR software was used.

This fraud is a fraud because, like Rathergate, the document has KERNED letters that in an honest document would be typed.
Typewriters can NEVER kern letters. But kerned letters are all over this fraud.
Kerning is shown with words like 'liar.' The l,i vs a,r are pulled together -- using less space. That's kerning. Typewriters - -every last one -- can't do that. They ALWAYS use the same space for every letter.

Your don't any special software to see the layers, JUST Click on PDF on WH site , it will open in your free adobe reader, zoom in 800%, move around the screen, due to the 800%, size your PC will take a few secs to display the image, You will see what the kid in the video is saying, cause you will see the layers slowly coming together proving that the PDF on the WH site was created with many layers of images each layer containing different info, ITS EASY TO SEE. SO STOP REFUSING TO SEE IT..

I have worked with digital media for more than a decade, and I can tell you from my expertise, those 'artifacts' are normal. I have 2 scanners, one simple basic scanner, and one that I use for extremely hi-res scans. My lesser scanner puts artifacts when scanning an image. Also I have seen a lot of Illustrator documents that come from photos and contain those same issues.
