Watch from 2:35 onwards. I do go through it and theres no wire hidden underground, except that piston but I show that anyway.

@thelonelyanime Thats ok no problem! If you have issues building it though in single player read the description/forum topic because you may have to build it a couple of time before you get it working. It doesn't work facing some directions and if its built on different chunks. Goodluck!

@MrIlikpie If your building it on SMP please keep in mind now that Bukkit has patched this issue now in the 1.1 servers. Other servers which are not run on Bukkit it will still work.

It should work as per shown in the video. If it doesn't read the description of the video and I hope it helps :)

I was able to break the block 44:6 with a diamond pickaxe and it places just like slabs, but when you place one onto another it turns into the block with the slab sides.

You can make this vertical, then it's vertical the torch isn't on the trasnforming block, and you can expand it to changing demage to stairs, and as a result make the transperant block(stairs with demage of atleast 5)

@MageDb0w Nah you can't make TNT. You can make all the blocks which have been lined up in the video. Every wool colour, sand, stone (including rare mossy stone), brick and wood.

@coolapple14 It depends what direction its facing. where you place it. how its placed. what chunk its in. and how its postitioned on the x and z axis. Its very tedious and hard to make

Ive discovered a similar glitch that duplicates/damages blocks. The duplicated block isnt able to be harvested yet. It can change damage values as well.

It really wont work for me, the piston under the wool/cobblestone thows the torch away.. And i'm useing 1.0.0

I haven't tested it, but in my mod I've made giant mushrooms. They use damage values, as do the ones in Vanilla.

Some freaky turnouts occur when I was mucking around with Metadata myself in using Giant Mushroom blocks, so I wonder what would happen with this machine.

@sup3rphi1 I am not sure about it in survival, but you should be able to fine. In creative mode yes you can! You will have to get a TNT to blow it first though, make it drop, then with that block in your inventory you be able to place it infinite times.

@aleccim15 The system itself can be glitchy, but it does work. It can work for a few moments then all of sudden not work. I've included a way to get around it in the description. I'll update it as we find out more about this glitch!

Can you turn red wool into green wool, or do you have to turn the red wool into white wool and then into green wool?

@d3fish3r3 The original colour of the wool block does not play a factor it can be white, red, green or anything. If you break the redstone torch on the block you will always get white wool, but if you use water to do it at different distances where you place the water you will get different colours!

Same principle applies to the bricks/sand and wood. The only thing is that the original block in this case must be made of two slab pieces.
