@OlderG0ds no your stupid everyone who funded had to help out i just talked to the guy that Canada sent to help in, so stop trying to make it look like UK is doing all the work. another stupid fuck that thinks he knows everything
People who complain about money waiste this program was designed to save money. The purpose of this jet is to replace sevral jets we are currently using. Instead of having 10 diffrent jets for 10 diffrent reasons now we have. 1. It is a vertical take off, carrier take off, short takeoff, stealth, attack, and fighter all in one. (more then that even). It is going to save us alot of money. We need less jets. Less engineering costs. They did a amazing job
@777LucKee777 Those are the ducted fan access panels, the engine intake access panels, and the underwing stabilizers vents opening. All parts of the lift system.
@retiredge76 We are sorry about the difficulties you are having. Since each case is different, we want to put you in touch with a case worker so you can discuss the details of your situation. Ill be direct messaging to get some contact information from you so that we can put you in touch with a case worker.
Cutting off health insurance benefits of retirees after they retire sure is a courteous way to treat long term employees who won the cold war (and made their LM managers rich). Ill bet the ex-LM managers didnt get their health insurance payment terminated. I also expect theyre paying off members of Congress to ignore this change. Its amazing what LM management can get away with while theyre wrapped in the American flag!
Lockheed-Martin likes to wrap itself in the American flag. But the true Lockheed-Martin idea of courage and integrity is cutting off health insurance benefits to retirees after theyve retired with an earned benefit. (What are the retirees to do: retire from some other company? I dont think so!) Thats what the Lockheed-Martin concept of integrity is all about. Bet youll never hear about that on an LM ethics video! Ill also bet they didnt cut off health benefits to ex-managers!
Why is the F-35B's Thrust-Weight ratioless than the X-35B's??? It's so dumb!! The F-35 will barely be able to take off vertically, even if it has 1/2 fuel, and no hardpoint attachments....
Also, the SU-47's role is similar to that of an American "X" project aircraft (X-15, X-1, etc), however, the russians chose to showcase it as an actual fighter. Reversed wings are highly unstable, and prove to make agile fighters. (As NASA found out some 20 years ago with a similar project). And I don't know what that one guy is talking about canada, but they haven't made a single viable aircraft. Nevermind a technological marvel... Don't take this the wrong way canada- u haven't made one YET...
The thing is... both production programs (Raptor+Lightning 2) are being halted prematurely because there isn't a need for a massive airforce at the moment. All countries are faced with the same financial ordeal, and we don't need excess of something that is worth more than Seattle (or that won't ever be shot down).
SU 47 can take two of those American crap........................and by the way...why don't you put your legs on the ground and fight ??? or you don't want to get harmed
wow every one is so impressed with this bull shit when so many years ago there were planes exactly like that except this is just an upgraded version. In canada they were building way more advanced air crafts in the 1970s. Except when the liberals one the election they canceled all military air craft testings because they were afraid that if canada completed the arrow it would be the most advanced country right now but a way country.
@arielwollinger the f35 is mostly based on a british plane it wouuldnt work if the british gave the vertical flight technologies into this project and it aint all america its called jsf meaning lots of countries r helping : /
The f22 is still beast ill fly that plane anytime

How does the VTOL and STOVL deal with dust. can the 35 handle unpaved runways like the A-10 or does it need a carrier or tarmac?

Hw much weight can this thing take off with when it takes off vertically?
whitesox889 2 years ago
Depends on how much payload it will be bringing back - fuel and weaponry.
Too much may been a conventional or SRVL landing solution is more appropriate.

I have a question.. Can the F-35B land vertically after a mission??
HeavyLikesSandwich 2 years ago
@HeavyLikesSandwich
Yes. It can take off and land vertically. but under normal operational use it has to do short takeoffs.
TheLightningII 2 years ago
yes. it does a short rolling take off and lands verticaly...but its much more easier to land a JSF verticaly then a harrier

Because it is not supposed to take of vertically, STOVL stands for short takeoffs....

PairoftheSocks 2 years ago
The US is going to get 2600 of those.. The F-35 is about 15m long, if you put them in a row it represents a length of about 39km, or 25 miles.
