@DutchPow3r Facebook has gathered over 3.4 million Dutch users and 20% of the Dutch population (google "how many facebook users in holland" and see socialbakers website). We think thats pretty powerful and could be advantageous to be an ealry mareting adopter as oppossed to a late one. That's our 2 cent opinion :)
4.3 million accounts doesn't mean 3.4 million users, that goes also for the US btw, i have friends that have 1000 accounts lol ;-) the thing here is hyves . nl it has about 10 million accounts and still it is very hard to market, the Dutch market is a whole other beast i can tell you that lol
And Facebook marketing will only work here if you're in a niche for young people, if you're a painter or carpenter these types of media are basically useless.
@DutchPow3r we agree that Facebook is not a top priority for all types of business owners (US or otherwise), as we discuss in the video, business types that rely on direct response, currently have better options that should be explored first. That being said, businesses like a painter and carpenter could use Facebook for branding, awareness, education, etc to build a fan base that could later on provide direct response. Per Social Bakers 64% of Dutch users are >25 old, & 32% >34 years old.
@svinehunden ..we agree, the larger the fan base the more 'aged' fans, which could have a lower response rate..the point we were illustrating is that growing your fan base is a must and the larger the list the better the results in absolute terms..(also 10% is illustrative as well and every post or content will have unique results)..join us in our forum if you want to compare notes ;)
