the second time the "ecstasy" sample is triggered it should be a lower pitch. also the bass synth was a Juno and every 4 bars it should go dada-da--da-da. also it's missing the strings and choir sounds, but other than that, it's pretty good. what fun!!
Im familiar with Beltram, late90s i think.. Not 2 bad. but bass line has couple 16ths thrown in instead of 1st 8th every 8 or 16 bars right?? wuld have been easy rite?
Hi hat is too plain. have to add more patterns to it. should tick or flicker.. listen to the orig tracks from those days. And that pattern actually comes from cutting records and some freestyle music.
I'm glad he made this video because I've always wondered why people don't attempt Techno Covers like rock musicians attempt rock covers.
Techno just limits itself to the remix mostly, or edit these days...how about a compilation record of reknowned artists doing full gear covers of their favorite techno tracks?
I totally agree, and its gotta be outa the "box"(computer). I've started my own project doing dub electronica covers of classic and obscure Motown and Soul, not really the same idea but its a great formula. I am cutting all the mixes live on my board with sends re-injected for that authentic on the fly dub feedback.
Nice vid!!! This makes me think of the very young joey beltram putting the classic together for the first time and realising he's onto something special. I bet he never knew just how special though.
No, the 606 relies only on sync. Though the 606 has 2 trigger outs, so you can trigger most other equipment with them, like gates/cv/hold and most other controls.
Man, You're makin me wanna set my gear up and make some beats like this!! Just hooked up everything after 6 years so I'm just freshly starting out again. The ownly downfall is I never did figure out how the f**k to use my S1100 so that is whats delaying me :-).
I love your machines (i wish to have so much money to buy them!) but i was expected something more creative, more melody from a bass line and a drum rythm.
thx for subscribing, this only took 25 minutes to setup the 909 and 303 (which triggers the sh09 for the lead line), and i recorded it for a laugh after finding the ecstasy sample, by no means a perfect mix:D
Well im pleased you did it as I love it. Is the 303 playing the bassline? I always though that would be more a job for the 101? Mind the bass sounds great so it may well be a 303 on the Beltram record.
Teisco S60f synth must be very rare by now.I used to have S110f(Same design as S60f but bigger).Looks really cool even now.You should post a demo of it sometime.Cool vid!.
pendlecoven?? more like pendlecomeon, techno geeks, its a homage to mr beltram, not a carbon copy shit, camera work a bit like cloverfield, i wasn't scared though, just bouncin!!

I didn't hear the 303
GBart 2 years ago
@GBart correct, it's used to trigger the sh-09 which is playing the sound, but the sequence was programmed on the 303 as the sh-09 has no sequencer.

Hi, got 1 question, can you trigger a TR-606 through a s1000 so you can control it??

LOVE IT guys!!! Awesome!
Got to agree with you on the SH09 too. I use mine for basslines (sync'd to my system 700 sequencer) and mono lead solos and it is just so fat :-)
SuperPussMusic 3 years ago
Love all of your vids so much I have subscribed.
Constructive crit- The main lead sound need some more crunch and less bounce. A minor point.
Overall, Excellent!!! As said, subscribed and waiting for the next vid.
Keep up the superb work!!!!!!! :]

Bass is programmed on the 303, but CV'd to the SH-09 which is what you hear, its 10 times better than the 303 for bass.
