  • I was so saddened to hear of Freddy`s death.Apparently he had been recently diagnosed with an aggressive form of Lung Cancer in 2011.R.I.P.,Freddy!

  • Thanks,of course you`re correct.Carlo was so very versatile it was amazing.Yes,he was responsible for the legendary bass on "I wonder why".Its interesting that they really didn`t use much bass, instead concentrating on those bari-tenor harmonies with Angelo`s high tenor floating above.

  • great job

  • Good song!!!!!!!

  • Carlo - I love u.

  • Nothing like the Street Corner made soothing sounds of Doo-Wop!

  • I believe this is a different version than the single. Great song and great rendition either way.

  • NIce. Thanks very much.

  • The Belmonts had great doowop pazaaz even without Dion.

  • The Belmonts weren't too bad without Dion!

  • Never heard this one b4 but it totally rocks! one of those Belmonts songs I could listen to all day!!!!!! Thanks m1garand427!!!!!!!!!!!

  • These were the Belmonts, without Dion, with Carlo Mastrangelo doing a great job on the lead.

  • He had a heck of a range, didn't he? My Belmonts knowledge is limited, but didn't he do the bass line on "I Wonder Why"? If not I apologize. I just read it on a comment on that video.

  • Freddy Milano did the bass parts.

  • @thebigfist Freddie was 2nd tenor. Carlo was the bass. But he could sing in the tenor range, as he is doing on this recording. Fred just passed away Jan. 1, 2012.

  • His range is incredible!

  • @DooWopFanatic You are right. Carlo was the bass. After he had his tonsils out his voice got higher. That was after "Tell Me Why". He could still sing bass, afterwards, though.

  • Thanks for putting this up! This was a "B" side. Can't remember what the "A" side was. It was also on their album "Carnival of Hits". I have a compilation album that came out several years ago that has an alternate version of this.
