  • for minsgbn: you should think before talking. Not everybody in this world can choose what to do...Personally I think YOU ARE THE ONLY IDIOT here!

  • co za asy....

  • Discovery mourns? More like cashes in. -_-

  • Heros ? Why ? They are chasing money and choose to do this.

  • There has to be a safer way.

  • rest in peace skipper and crew

  • these guys are hero,s R.I.P the other guys who perished god bless

  • @machargs123 i think 'hero' is pushing it, they are fishing.

  • I think I'm off crab forever. And frankly, after watching a couple of these shows, they don't get paid enough.

  • I'm thinking that the prayer isn't working and it's time to try something else.

  • those were good men! it goes to show how dangerous it is

  • Ya know what. Ya see any ole timers on deck? It's a young man's game. Make your cash and haul ass. And I'll be happy to fuck your landlocked squeeze ya treasure hunter.......Dumbass.

  • That's a hard dick's job.

  • ignore the ignorant.it takes a real man to do that job--godbless

  • :'(

  • My respects and condolences to their friends and family and my sincere thanks to all you fisherman that do such a job to bring food to us, good luck and good fortune

  • these men are the real fishermans(L) respect for them.

    heroes of the water

  • Poor Ole Skipper... REST IN PEACE BROTHER!

  • Really don't know what to say. This is some heavy stuff. The job is so dangerous that deaths are to be expected, yet still it is shocking when it happens.

  • wtf....9 people didn't like this video...are they Heartless?

  • THATS THE RISK OF FISHING IN THESE WATERS

  • if you like this listen to Sea dogs by colin hay...

  • If a person is an Atheist would they not be welcome in this profession? Looks like everyone is forced into prayer its assumed everyone believes.

  • @CelestialWoodway Even as an Atheist I would join their circle as a show of comitment and loyalty. It doesn't mean you would have to pray, but, at least respect their beliefs.

  • Brothers in boats. god bless the lost. r.i p

  • May the Good Lord, look after these brave people. This is why I drive a semi instead of being a fisherman.

  • gtfo

  • Godbless the crew,, there souls!!

  • There is no way i'll ever spend a penny on a pair of 'dickies' - thanks to AdTube.

  • This is EASILY more bad ass than Ice Road Truckers !

  • I can't even begin to imagine the fear these men experienced, knowing they are going down and fully understanding what can happen should you end up in the water. They know they have only minutes unless they are in a life raft. And God Bless the wife of a fisherman. Never knowing if your loved one is even going to make it home from his job that season. The strength that must take is mind boggling. It takes special people to live this life, be it on the ship or at home waiting and praying.

  • @Msdistarr outstanding coment mate

  • @Msdistarr I don't read

  • @Msdistarr look great little rant but the women are no where near as brave. they are find women i have no doubt with a hard job but these men dwarf that in their proof to dedication to provide for their children and partner. REST IN PEACE BOYS

  • @DjTommyKx First off, I do not consider my opinion to be a "Rant". Secondly, by using the term "Dwarf", you minimize the importants of the wife's role and the difficulty she must have raising their kids, alone, for a good part of the time, as he is away. I call that dedication. And she lives with the uncertainty of his even coming home and if he doesn't, she alone, has to keep that family together. I call that brave. She provides no less to that family than he does. They BOTH are special.

  • @sandis52 wow. its not fucking funny at all you heartless peice of shit. thay died out there. you should fuck off, words cannot describe the amount of things that are wrong with your comment. FUCK YOU YOU ESPENT!

  • as long as it sells, then I guess it's worth people dying.

  • I don't even like Alaskan crab legs, why do people like them?

Scallops, shrimp, and clams are much tastier !

  • Pete Liske, the captain of the Lady Alaska, pretty much has the same voice as Lewis Black.

  • GUYS

ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) - Phil Harris, the fishing boat captain whose adventures off the Alaska coast were captured on the television show "Deadliest Catch", has died, the Discovery Channel said Tuesday night. He was 53.

  • Heart rending stuff.

I wish ALL guys at sea GodSpeed.

    Please be safe fellas.

And a very merry Christmas, and Safe new year to you all.

  • my deep respect and simpathy to those guys. , and a pray for those that lost their lives on the sea.

  • @manueloin Amen

  • R.I.P Guys And Be Safe The Rest That Work The Bearing Sea, My Sympathy Goes To Your Families

  • RIP GUYS...

  • If I win a lottery 'A Trip With Deadliest Catch Crew' ... I will take it... I am a fisherman too... but we catch fish. Your fishing trip is really wet... I envy you guys!

  • @MMMMats You are another idiot who sits on his couch or computer and watches real men work. Most of these guys are family guys and their money goes to things like house payments and college funds for their children. The majority do not do drugs. Just because you don't have the balls to do what they do gives you no right to put them down. My husband was on the Lady Alaska this show and our hearts and prayers go out to the Gary and his crew.

  • Yeah you got that right, jobs like this aren't for the faint of heart!

  • then you should not share us your family troubles because we dont care

  • Get a clue and fish on.

  • rip

  • you should be banned for vulgarity...loser! this is family stuff

  • im the 100 000

  • im the 99,999th viewer

  • You rock!

  • Deadliest Catch is a great show. Lesson: live well, work hard and enjoy life, you never know when it end's.

  • R.I.P the crew of the big valley

  • @scumgod13 kinda disrespectfull dude

  • i hope the little kids kick your lil butt at school too

  • u sick fucking crettin

  • Vegetarian? Peta? Lowlife welfare bum?

  • RIP

  • i sure do hope these guys make a total friggin killing. i dont guess i will bitch no more when i see the price of lb of alaskan king crab legs....

  • R.I.P.

  • R.I.P brothers

  • Gary was a good friend of mine... We still miss you. Cashe Man was the only survivor. 9 total fisherman lost in that 3 month period in Kodiak... All RIP.

  • Im very sorry to hear about that, they are all heros. R.I.P

  • great video

  • they should all wear surivial suits at work

  • survival suit are expensive and impossible to wear and work at the same time even walk , its a neoprene suit and you can close the zipper and be whole insulated from the water and cool temps

  • They cost $300 and most good fisherman own a personal suit. You only don the suit when you are going down or abandoning ship. The trick is to pratice putting the suit on in less than 45 seconds... 7 years experience.

  • those men sure have balls of steel.

  • God protect every one who works there..i said that cause my husband works there and no one knows if they'll ever return back..thank god that every time he goes he comes back..but as i said i don't know if he ever comes back..god bless..

  • jesus im in tears watching this....rip

  • yay coastguard

  • rest in peace

  • Why cant they make an unsinkable boat? Cars have airbags right? Why not make a boat with airbags to prevent its sinking? Possible?

  • i think US coast guards have unsinkable boats, but it doesn't work thanks to "airbags". The problem is always the same: safety costs money...

  • The Coast Guard's boats are basically unsinkable. When they capsize, they flip right back over so that they're right side up.

  • oh, it is possible - but then you don't have any room for the catch.

The rescue ships going out are virtually unsinkable - as long as they don't break up - but they can't stay out for long. They can't transport freight or fish.Ships are always built to a set of compromises between maximum safety and maximum profitability. These crab boats are pretty robust. But at some point even the best machine gives up. Breaking up under the pressure of a rogue wave or having the hull hammered into oblivion.

  • R.I.P i hate it when inoccent people die supporting there family its just cruel.....

  • i watch deadliest catch in Germany every time and im very sad everytime a fisherman fall in the sea and died, but this is a tragedy and i get very angry if someone don't respekt the work of this brave men. In Germany the name of this series is Der härteste Job Alaskas which means the hardest job of alaska but I think it had to be called the hardest job of the world.

  • it said that the big valley caught fire in the engine room

  • is mike rowe narrator?

  • yes he is narrating

  • no shit the boat sank it was an unsafe boat

  • rest in peace guys gary my dad has told me alot about u he loved fishing with u in the late 80s thru the 90s u guys are very missed

  • Hard guys....respekt

  • it was reported that 5 of the 6 perished and only 1 guy survived. the coast guard determined that the boat was overloaded which caused it to sink. they never recovered one of the bodies. it's really sad and i hope their families are doing ok.

  • they mut get paid alot

  • hell yea.... high risk=high pay.

  • i'd say "higher" pay because it's still not high...

  • let us pray let those boys be safe and let them be found

  • cabs eating them..

  • got crabs ?

  • Shame on u ok

  • ya you would say that you freak...figured that from your stupid ass ID name fag

  • I hope your a** will be itching for the rest of your life - and that your arms will be too short to reach. You are indeed a prime example on how some people should not be allowed a network connection - dumbing down lives of others with stupid comments. I hope you choke.

  • ass

  • my condolences on the loss of the big valley and its people

  • it would have been better if the full episode was uploaded.

  • i was going hook fishing and had a couple of small triangular crab traps on bering sea, near the coast of northern Russia, on a 10 meter wooden boat, with a small motorcycle motor. Most we had was waves on scale of 5, but that was enough for that boat. Almost shit my pants at first, like a rollercoaster ride, but than got used to it.. :D

  • i was on three cg cutters icebreakers...... and i salute all crab fishing vesseles and crew, you guys rock the seas , nobody can turn and burn like crabbers and put it all on the line........... out!

  • who eats crab anyways?

  • me.

  • not me lol, apearntly some people do tho.
