  • Ain't heard this IN YEARS!!!

    Thanks.

  • Where is Mr B A now?

  • Why Is This Not Available On CD??.......Not Even On iTunes...Great Record :)

  • Much prefer this song than the awful Bang Bang. It has a nice beat to it. I wonder what happem to this artist? He must be in his mid sixties now!

  • @wisenatts me wonder too

  • hadn't heard this for 25 years until today :-) ....... wore out the needle on the record player as a kid with it

  • those were the days

  • It's interesting how things seemed much better in ur youth- this guy is one of the most UNtalented singer/songwriters I've ever heard!

  • lol he knocked it off alreet lol

  • I really love this song. I have not heard this for years but it always has been one of my favourites. Very tongue-in-cheek. Wonderful tune.

MUSIC IS THE UNIVERSAL LANGUAGE THAT BRINGS PEOPLE TOGETHER.

  • Witty and so cynical! GREAT!

  • great lyrics.

sums up most of today's "celebs"

  • Thirty years old this year (2009) - the song, not me (I was 12 at the time!).

  • What a wasted youth I had!

  • Just seeing everyone's memories...for me this was listening to the top 20 on a Sunday night and recording it on my mono cassette recorder. Good memories!

  • I'd completely forgotten about doing that, thanks for bring back a lost memory.

    :)

  • @roaringopenfire oops! I think I gave you a thumbs down by mistake, I'm so sorry! I meant to click on thumbs up. I used to do exactly the same thing. And hated the way the Top 40 presenter would ALWAYS talk over the first few or last few bars, just so I couldn't get a clean recording! LOL!

  • i remember this from my earliest years ...must have been 4....love it!

  • It was well known in the music industry at the time in the late '70s that BA's singles were hyped into the top 40 and mostly did not sell well. WEA were fined gross amounts of money for the scandal with their artists at that time. So much so that Warners in the States were asking how so many records were shipped from the WEA Wembley warehouse, but no money had been made. Who remembers the 'world in action' expose in '79?. BA was ok, but there was no real talent as a performing artist.

  • @martley1 sound just like 2010

  • Jesus, there actually WAS a BA Platinum Collection?!

  • Ian Dury & the Blockheads should have sued!

  • The first single I ever bought - 'I never thought i'd put it awaaaay!' Top draw 80s fodder.

  • He looks SOOO much like Rob Brydon, yet nobody in the media has ever commented about this. This song takes me back to when I was 12 in 1979, I used to love it.

  • with me birthday coming up looked this up brought a smile classic stuff

  • It's like a charity song or a parody, but it isn't either of those things, which is probably the point.

  • Thanks for uploading this - takes me back to early / mid 79 ... I think.

Jeez - nearly 30 years ago.

    Oh well, great times!

  • 1981 my friend, it is a spoof song about playing the field

  • Someone's written that my vid is of B A as he is today. Can't see it myself. Nobody can get that raddled.

  • Takes me back somewhat! and i'm 42!Thanks for posting!!!

  • classic track

  • bout time somebody put this on youtube.. iuse to have this on 45 untill my mum threw it up in the air for being a nauty boy i never heard it since due to a piece missing...god that was nearly 30 years ago.. anyway thanks

  • Yet another lost, timless tune. Top

  • Does anyone know what he's doing now? I'd love to know. (love to work with him, too)

  • google and you should find his (BA Robertson's) website quite easily! I did.

  • Oh...ok...thanks...sometimes we overlook the simplist notions

  • Anyone got his early 80,s song Ready Or Not to download?

  • Thanx for posting. I love this track. Tell em they can stuff it Im not about to rough it in some Granada Ghia!!! Love that line.

  • Thanks - liked all the stuf I've nheard from BA. Somehow this one passed me by. Might try and buy the cd. I love the 1982 Scottish World Cup Song and the swap shop song too. I bought Kool in the kaftan, and to be or not to be, but back then I couldn't affor dalbums so never heard much more. Ha dthe Maggie bell version of Hold Me on Ssome K-Tel compliation.

  • Fab! My favourite BA track. What a talented songwriter.

  • bloody hell, remember this! takes ya back, but was even crap at the time lol
