First I'm not in any religion, God talks about religion nowhere in the bible , people makes religions from what they read/learn. I just believe in God.
We can't prove if the Bible is God's words, it's about faith and believes.
However if you believe, and ask him some help, it's easy to understand how he manage to make people write the bible: "All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives." (2 Tim 3.16)

Well those are good questions. first of all i don't consider gay people to be evil or sinners, I see them as old values that has no merrit any longer. Why do we have to abide by 2000 year old teachings? If the scientific commuity had sat on their collectiv asses for that long we would still have to ride horses. No offence. I do not think that gay people are evil any more than I think that I am evil, but I know that we are all sinners alike. Just because I am a Christian does not mean that I am flawless. And I believe there can be homosexual Christians.
But about the 2000 year old teachings...I realize that it can be confusing, as the same teachings that tell us to honor our parents tell us not to braid our hair. I will have to study it more...but we can't just cherry pick the Bible and believe what we like.

And I think you have it mixed up. Judaism takes the old testament into account, but does not recognize Jesus Christ as the Messiah. Christians recognize both testaments and we believe the whole thing.
We're free to interpret the Bible however we like, but we can't really say that something is false. If we do we may as well disregard the whole Book.

For instance, last week I asked myself whether or not the stories in the Bible (the Ark, Adam and Eve, etc...) were actually true, but I realized that they HAD to be, or else anything happening after them would be made up to. That's why they kept all the "begats and begots"...to prove how everyone was related. You can't believe in Jesus but NOT believe in Noah, cause they are direct descendants. Do your see?

My father has a bible that has alot of other that has information on how the bible was pieced together from around 21 books. As i said before who was resposible for putting it together and for what reason, what did they hope to accomplish. But from what i have learned it is because was highly adaptable with various cultures and if you study it for a bit you will see that there are about as many ways to be christian as there are countries and peoples. If my six year old brother was taught about homosexuality i would knock the teachers out. I swear Im not even playing, kids dont need to here about that till their older. Im fine when their in the seventh or 8th grade, cause they WILL know about it anyways. but anything below the 5th grade is a big no-no.

I have to say teaching people about gays is....well I don't know if it's a good idea, I'm gay but I honestly wouldn't want to have been tought it. If it would have helped me NOT become gay, then yeah, I would approve. It's just it seems like it would do the total opposite. Gay is OK, but hell if you can avoid it, do it! It's a hassle of a life style, degraded where ever you go.
