you sound just like worldtravelrman he is an mma fan that makes his own predictions on ufc/mma fights and whatever but thanks i need to try this out for my ipod
Itunes 9.2 killed my old iPod classic and I've been researching a way since to resolve the issue and yours is the the first and only mention I have seen of this diagnostic unction. Thank you for posting this, it may help fix my bricked classic. Cheers!
This is an interesting video, I'm anxious to see if it will work on my 6th gen iPod Classic.
One question though! Could you have found a worse iPod to use? Maybe one that been in a fire, or blown up. This is one of the worse looking working iPods I've ever seen.
And I agree with one of the other commenters the screen looks long for a classic. I can't explain that.
@Bronco46tube Does it actually matter what condition the device is in? Show me one apple device that isn't scratched to hell that was ever so much as powered on.
The screen looks long because of video resolution size distortion, not hard to figure out.
I have the red X icon.....how do I fix this?

@Rilandune Actually I'm pretty careful with mine. The back is a little scratched is all.
But the one in this posting is the worst I've ever seen.
You probably already tried this but I'll ask anyway. Did you update the firmware on your iPod?
Another thing; there was an update iTunes 9.2.1 that may help you.
do a google search for: do itunes 9.2 kill older ipods and choose the second result at electricpig.
