@goodbuy12345 Ok, so...it looks like you found a lot of the Easter Eggs, but there's four more in there, two of which are the ones I mentioned earlier as being rather challenging to spot (or should I say, understand).
@goodbuy12345 The video was made with Premiere Pro. Custom artwork was created in Photoshop and Illustrator, with some special effects done in After Effects. (AE wasn't really necessary, but it did make a few scenes a little easier to put together.)
No one's ever found them all, or at least, if they have they haven't told me. There are two which are very difficult to spot, one of which cannot really be seen on YouTube because of the low-quality of the video here. Feel free to post a list of anything you do find, though. That would be fun!
@Driftroot0:10 (the shop) it"s not japan 0:16 (it was her first name) i believe 0:34 - 0:43 (it's the chalkboard) multiple time 1:07 (the computer) they only read and write japan 1:13 (the wanted poster) and again in 1:191:22 , 1:24 , 1:25 (all chalkboard) 1:32 (wanted poster) again 1:33 (chalkboard) again 1:39 (the two book) there was no cookbook and not many write on the other book Also they are in English 1:50 (wanted poster) again how many time it will pop out 2:01 the chalkboad I'm done
No matter how many times I watch this It still is absolutely amazing. A perfect AMV for an avid Haruhi-ist like myself. Hands down my favorite AMV of all time. It truly inspires me --and each time I watch it, I always catch something new <3
Really really well done, I enjoyed it a lot. Clever and well made. Funny, edited well, I can tell you put a lot of time into it, and if you didn't then you have some talent either way :)
@lotusblossom13 This video took about 50 hours to cobble together the footage and another 50 hours for the stuff I did TO the footage, some of which is designed to be completely seamless with the original footage. The scene where Haruhi is jumping up and down celebrating in the ball field, for example, doesn't occur in MOHS at all. That took probably 4 or 5 hours. So yeah, a decent amount of time went into this video, but I think it was worth it. :)
@imafairydragon I'm not sure which episode Haruhi plasters her poster up, sorry. This video was made awhile ago and I don't have any way to check to see where the footage came from. To be clear, that is not the actual poster she puts up in the episode, I created a new poster to cover up the original.
Good eyes, there's a few more Easter eggs in there, though, not necessarily having to do with messages. You probably have to watch on HQ or download the video at AMV.org to find them. :)
I found the butcher shop in the chalk board kyonxharuhi 4ever godix was here to drift was defrately here xP The dead meat posters when the days pass the menssages in the chalk board the cook book & the famous For sale butchers knife $40 blabla...@A-M-V.org
Lolol. I love the hidden messages. The butcher shop. All the stuff written on the chalk board. The really hard to read message by the Betty Crocker cook book, "Let's Eat Meat!". The "Dead Meat" posters everywhere. And of course the Knife on sale for $40. xD Genius. Pure comic genius!
Lol, fyi haruhi sat down i hope she doesnt drag me down the hall [haruhi stands up and drags kyon through the hall] Lol i also noticed at the end behind kyon it says "FOR SALE butchers knife rarely used $40 ;)"
Well, yeesh, you found a lot of stuff...still missing a few hidden items, though! Not necessarily messages, just something on screen that isn't what it first appears to be. Hint: IM chat environs and Haruhi's hidden camera.
And that's a "Batty Cracker" cookbook... I try very hard not to completely copyright infringe ^_^
Sorry for commenting so much, but just rewatching this again I realized: I missed the Butcher shop sign at the beginning. (-fails-) Foreshadowing ftw!
I don't know what's better: the IM chats, the chalkboard messages (I read them all even the ones that 'move'), the Wanted posters littered throughout, the books (especially 'Betty Crocker's cookbook), 'butcher knife for sale', takeout warning,or perhaps the greatest use of pentool of all: the Home-Ec class. (i want to join! *u*) I do love Mikuru but I view this AMV more as a 'great chance to parody and use Rodeo--Nat. cattle beef association?' I cracked up so HARD. ♥ this lots, & Monty Python=♥
Actually, I wasn't at AAC last year b/c I tripped and fell going out my kitchen door that morning and "sprained" my ankle. Exactly a year later and upwards of $8,000 in medical bills later, I had surgery yesterday morning to remove a fractured bone and bone chips from the "sprained" ankle and am once again home when I was supposed to be at AAC. Glad to hear someone's enjoying themselves at the con, though. :D
Been watching this on loop for a while now. My FAVORITE parody vid EVAR! The music change at :11 with the clip was amazing. (I don't like Asahina all that much. >_> )You should totally enter on the next Okaton AMV contest! Very VERY nice job!
Glad you like it. This video is retired from the AMV competition circuit, however (though it was never really on it). Takeout was intended as an exercise in strategic parody, not a crowd-pleasing comedic spectacle (I leave that work to 'Bustin hehe). Also, people seem to either love it or hate it, which is never a good sign when you're trying to get into the finals of a competition. :)
Lol, too bad - I guess not everyone has good (gruesome?) tastes? Also, could you PLEASE tell me how you did 1:19 and 2:01??? I have tried EVERYTHING to do stuff like that to my AMV's and I can't figure out how to change original content like that! :sad face:
Gruesome, yes, but some people just don't "get" it. Sort of like Monty Python, I guess. I never imagined people would think Takeout was gruesome b/c I never looked at it that way, but I can understand how some people do.
The short answer to how I did what I did is that it involves the use of graphic software, mostly Photoshop, and altering the video frame by frame, then re-animating those frames.
Glad you like it! :) The messages on the chalkboard behind Haruhi are comments I received from people who provided me with feedback on the early, rough draft of the AMV. All 100% authentic. hehe
i'm confused why did a garfield the cat video send me here....I do like haruhi though :3
