Hi! Its marioandluigi1992 again! U remember when I commented 2 years ago?. Anyway, we are thinking of getting my mum a Cavalier puppy for her birthday in August. Are they good dogs to have? We also have a cat who is quite timid, but we had an assistance dog (Labrador) called Ulan, and she was fine with him! Are Cavaliers good with cats? Thanks and nice vid once again!
Hiya, yes they are very good dogs to have but I am slightly one sided with that lol! Cavaliers can be good with Cats as long as you introduce them immediately as a pup I wouldn't leave it long. Cavalioers are wonderful family dogs and they love human attention generally, Good luck and hope you get a fantastic dog soon
Caveliers are much happier when the have a friend to hang out with, mine are quite old now and they still do everything together. cavaliers are by far the best dog for a lazy family like mine - a short walk once a day and they sleep for the rest of the day! plus ive never seen a cavalier bite someone. they have a beautiful nature
@NNINJAKIWII - yes I do not see why not as long as you train them, Cavaliers tend to get on with most dogs if they are trained well from puppy and introduced to other breeds early.

@ZetamoonAmos - We have their hair trimmed puprely for comfort as they get hot in the summer and this helps keep them cool, As we do not show them we are ok with trimming them.
its very unlikely that the dog will harm or chase the cat if u introduce each other when a puppy . the dog and cat will likely end up as best friends . So u can gt a dog . unless the cat has abad past wiv dogs .
@marioandluigi1992 Cavaliers get on very well with Cats - we have three older cats (14 - 16) and three Cavaliers - they all get on just fine, do feed them separately though :) The cats snuggle up to the dogs during winter.
hi Valejaja, Well I have not had any problems with two male Cavaliers and I know others who also have them too and they have no trouble at all. There can be some play fighting, however if there is too much fighting sometimes Castration can be an answer to calm them down along with other problems that are similar.
