sorry, but I don't know what type of software comes with the dazzle because I personally do not own one. However, I use a program called Sony Vegas 7 for video editing and I highly recommend it even though it is considered old by some people.

im sorry if its not accurate because im more used to pinnacle, but i believe that there should be an option that says "Capture from Recording device", ect. and it wont show up on the little preview screen unless you set it too, which will probably reduce the quality. no your xbox microphone doesn't have a usb port connector with it (i highly doubt there is a converter clip that you can attach for that) you can easily get a cheap $5, $10, $15, or $20 mic aty a local store

do you have a usb video grabber you dont just need the software you need the hardware as well. If you do have the hardware the usb port should go into your computer and the yellow white and red cords should go into the other end. If this did not help please give me a little more information

the pinnacle video transfer device is by far the best way to capture video if you xbox is far from your TV it is a separate unit that saves to a usb thumb drive that you can then plug into a computer if you are interested in looking at this device some more check the link in the description and look at how to make machinima part 4 where i show the device off a little more.
