  • Two completely different instruments, and both sound amazing! Speaking for myself, I wouldn't waste 2 seconds comparing them. Instead... I'd spend hours enjoying their own unique differences. I'll be ordering a Montouro next year, though I'm still walking the fence on my model choice.

  • The tonal qualities of the Montuoro really grow on you quickly. Lovely guitar. I prefer it. There's a bit of a snap to it.

  • Both are great guitars.I find that the vintage Mauer has more sparkle,clarity and richness on the tone.The Montuoro sounds very mature and vintage for a new built guitar,and it's warmer.EIR adds more bass.
