  • alguem me entende!

  • not funny at all, there is no exageration. it is like exactly like that. Creatives in costumes, limited execs and "don't care" clients. good done though

  • dislike wasn't funny from a workers point of view..... actually very angry. it may be a fictional video fro fun but it hits the nail on the head to what happens in advertising and many corp. media design sections.... so sad... but definitively hits the nail on the head.

  • oh so that's why yahoo was mentioned

  • As a new copywriter and conceptualizer for a premier Indian "event management" firm, I can't believe how true this rings!

    Kudos!

  • Wolf like me?

  • Pizza budget has been cut, too.

  • amazing! nice work!

  • Wow - it's really the SAME everywhere!

  • Great..

  • "No changes... We're just going to have to change this this and that!" - This is SO true.

  • I should show this video to the rest of my clients :)

  • simply the truth

  • aerosmith ringtone = genious

  • video not loading now. "Error occurred..."

  • I got chest pains watching this.

  • I agree with you Hpfightin. What is the tie-in with Yahoo? Obviously, we're talking about Yahoo. So...Yahoo you guys are genuses! Right?

  • Hahahahaha !!!!

  • Nice vid, but... I just dont see the relation to Yahoo Ad Buzz. Will you have a rejected ideas competition or what?

  • Omg. Totally relatable.

  • I just Love this. Whoever the genius behind this is deserves a medal and a Pizza. Wish there was some credits so we could see who those dead-on awesome actors are. Where they even actors? Almost seemed to real to be faked.

  • Too on the nose.

  • I think the account guy is not realistic enough; they are usually much worse than that.

  • This expresses my feelings right now. Every time I come out of the meeting I just think FML and SOL.

  • This video made me sad.

  • Had a fun little meeting like that about three hours ago. To everyone who thinks copywriting is TOTALLY AWESOME BRO!, save your sanity and your soul.

    Be a farmer.

  • so dead on.

the four words of epic FAIL: "I like it but....."

  • It's a shame Yahoo's own advertising is toss.

  • Shit! It doesn't matter the country... is the same. I'm from Venezuela and we have to deal with this every day.

  • My favorite part is the scene where the budget gets cut. I've had this happen to me while pulling an all-nighter to finish up a "comp" that has interactivity, SFX, and 80% functionality. That's not a comp, my client friends. How quickly clients can kill a project, and then you get to chase them down for weeks just to get back the upfront percentage you agreed upon. "How much was that again?" "Are you sure?" I actually told someone I wish I could punch them in the face through a phone after this.

  • Its amazing... I loved the "Account executive" guy, Specially at 3:42 when he joins the client side... its sooooooo funny, great one...

  • The main three letters in the word, "Client" are LIE. They sap you of any creative energy. I always say I'd like to shake hands with the person who sold the concept not the group that came up with the concept. Good Clients make good agencies. Sometimes it's better to tell them to hit the road than to bow down to their weak excuses.

  • A reader asks what the creatives "transformation" song was. It's TV on the Radio, "Wolf Like Me."

  • Oh, too true.

  • I used to work as a copywriter in a big advertising agency, and i quit because i got sick of sitting in the same room with these two faced ass holes who are willing to sell their soul for a buck. we should make a revolution where creative people earn their respect and stupid corporate fucks get to clean our shoes once in a while, or make our pizzas.

Today I am a DJ and an Artist, i play music and paint pictures and my life is beautiful. Make the change - Make your life count !

  • i love how this little video is catching on (i first saw it about two weeks ago). Seems to really be resonating with those of us who deal with this crap every day. This is my favorite "work" video since Truth in Advertising. We all need 27 brand tenants.

  • There should be a way to favorite a video multiples times equivalent to it's awesomeness level.

  • fit!!!

  • You toser

  • HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA and I would like to add (no pun) HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA

Just like the old days when i had sold my sold to satan to be a 'creative director' and sell crap to twats globally.

It was a real Paradigm shift :) Very post modern using browns.

  • The only thing that doesn't change about the business is the business.

  • great casting on the douchey Account Exec

  • This is true but not new. Somehow it have not changed since I started working as a creative like 10 years ago. The worst part is that if we try to do something about it, we will be replaced for some junior kid willing to work for half our salary! WE ARE HORES!

  • In 15 years I made it to ACD to then be cut and replaced by young kids working 70 hr. weeks for small salaries (kind of like I did). Been own my own for five years now, but I realized pretty quickly that no matter how much client crap I put up with dealing directly with the clients it's about 1/4 as much as when there was an account worm in between. This video is funny but true. Clients are idiots and Account Execs are lying worms. Anyway it's spelled Whores. Jeez, you spell like a designer :-)

  • Its the same story over and over again. Sad thing to say, but then again: is their money. In Latin America a taxi driver or a maid make as much as a copywriter or a junior Art Director and work less. I think I'm in that moment of my career that I ask my self; what happened with the hundreds of guys I worked with all this years? lets say 1 out of 20 still in the industry.

  • Join the frickin' club.

    "I love it but..."

  • the client part is the most accurate. i've spent too many hours changing spots that the clients originally said they "loved."

watching the AE switch sides was all too true, sadly.

  • So unfair!!! but soooooooo truth! Its the Story of my Life

  • OMG... We live this every day!!!

  • So true. I was a bit disappointed in the lack of faux-hawks though.

  • harr harr - it's evil, but it's real

  • Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

  • yep - they about nailed it!

  • I'm generally on the Client Side... and this just makes me cringe. Runs too close to home.

  • ps - the paste-on goatee is EPIC!!!

  • i'm a CD - this is my life, EVERY day

  • that's so true to how theose stupid meetings really go and how you have to look very funny

  • that is hilarious needs more swearing for realisms sake

  • Amen to that - not nearly enough Fbombs for the ad world

  • Brilliant!

The tweeting and baby seal lines are pure genius.

  • Decent casting actually. The clients are dead on.

  • All of my clients have Aerosmith ringtones.

  • baby seal tears XD

I am very familiar with this..after a while you get to realize your first idea isn't going to please everyone. The "we have no changes BUT can you change.." phrase is used daily around the world.

  • i heart this video. for anyone who's worked in an agency it's crazy accurate. favorite line: "I don't even know what tweeting is...but this wouldn't make me want to do it."

  • you know it's bad when even the pizza budget is gone.
