  • were did you get this toy from

  • hey guess what i found him on ebay for $0.99 with $10.00 dollars postage

  • Great review. I wish I would have picked this guy up in stores when he was out, cuz it seems like I missed out on a pretty good figure. Time to search ebay.

  • thanks

i hope you don't spend more than $30 for him

  • minlia? Where is that? ALSO AWSOME REVIEW!

  • Manila, Philippines

    thanks

  • I only started collecting 2 years ago and missed out on this toy. I've been getting repaints of the older cyber key gimmick toys (don't know what line they're from) and I feel they're some of the most fun, playable, and durable out of all the TF lines. Hopefully they'll repaint this guy for the mass market as well.

  • you mean cybertron/galaxy force? :D that line was awesome xD but i miss it too :[~

  • i hope so too, but currently, news have it that he'll be a repaint in a 5-piece boxed set for BotCon 2009 as Land Shark. the price of that boxed set is just ridiculous! i think it's listed at $400 on BBTS--pretty expensive for just 5 repaints

  • the prices that people are willing to pay for these botcon exclusives are just absurd to me. It's disturbing to think how much money one is throwing away for just 5 plastic figures. 400 US dollars...how can anyone justify that? Of course there are plenty of people out there who can afford such purchase. But after knowing that there are people like Sean Long out there who spend recklessly on these toys, I just can't help but reflect on my own collecting hobby. Again, just my personal opinions.

  • Sorry to rant here under your video. Since you mentioned the price, I just thought I'll take the opportunity to express my thoughts on the absurdity of lavish spending associated with the whole botcon convention. Again, I have no problem with anyone spending the money however they like whether they can afford it or not, but I definitely do now want to end up like people like Sean because of overspending on toys. And one of the many ways to keep that from happening for me is to avoid exclusives.

  • btw, your reviews are awesome, and I really like this figure. Had it for years and still loving it. I had two before, until i gave one of them to my best friend before we parted after graduation. To this date he still has it sitting on his desk displaying him in a half transformed status because he finds him too difficult to transform without the instruction (which I forgot to give him).

  • thanks

    LOL about your friend

  • i know. now i've stuck to a budget when buying new toys. i just get the rare ones and the ones i really like and absolutely must have. everything else, i just wait till they go on clearance.

  • If it were at least exclusive molds I'd understand...but they're just exclusive recolors stuffed in cool packaging. It always makes my jaw drop when I hear about some of the prices collectors (the ones w/o good job security) are willing to pay. My mortgage is my only debt and I have a year's worth of just-in-case money set aside; and I still have to stop and think whether a toy is worth its MSRP or should I wait for a sale.

  • i know, some people think money grows on trees.

you should check out how much the games of deception seekers botcon 2008 exclusives are going for-- these are the US versions of dirge ramjet and thrust. i think each figure doesn't go below $150

    just ridiculous!

  • amen to that

  • Yeah I totally agree with you. I can take $400 and buy almost the whole line of rotf toys and be happy. $400 for a figure or 5 figures in a set is redicolous.
