@Thecurtainraiser1 the tabla player was Ustad Allah Rakha, father of Zakhir Hussein, and a truly wonderful musician. Ravi Shankar and Allah Rakha played together for many years.

@wrfell Indian music is certainly one of the oldest forms around... The western guitar came from the East. India is a vast, rich cultural source that I as a westerner, have appreciated for more than 30 years. I roomed with a Punjabi family for 4 years from age 18 to 22. Love the Music, food and the people.
