@CarlD2 The actor is Patrick Horgan, who played Ansel Scott (Draper Scott's father) on "The Edge of Night" in the late 70s. And he wasn't the only "Edge" actor to appear in this storyline. The contractor that Jean Randolph later hires to rebuild the secret room at Llanfair is played by Forrest Compton, who played Mike Karr on "Edge" for 20+ years.
I remember this storyline from when it first aired, I was just a kid and I'd watch the soaps with my grandmother sometimes. Jean Randolph is a great character and Erika Slezak is an acting genius who played this story to perfection.
