Mr Lynch and Melissa's dad (Eric) don't have noses. Its strange. Personally I think Melissa's Dad is a trans woman. For example in "It was supposed to be funny" McGuirk says that Lynch's body feels like a woman's.

I also have another angle, which is that the more educated/snooty men, like Mr. Lynch have no noses.
