  • Anyone who has been listening to floyd from the beginin will know that everything they have done has been ahead of it's time, there all masterpieces

  • Yu forget the japanese brought the war to the U.S. Hitler didn't want to involve the states but his u boats sinkin a passenger cruise ship and with the ending of the japanese threat the U.S. finally declared war on germany

  • I've seen this close to a dozen times and I never noticed until now that "Another Brick" was being played at 1:38.

  • It just astounds me. 56 years ago, the most evil human being ever born sat in his bunker, right under the stage, and directed the most destructive War against humanity in our history. 100 million dead. We have come so far, in many ways. But we haven't come so far in many others. Cheers Floyd!!

  • this song gives me the creeps sometimes.

  • This album made me afraid of the dark. (again).

  • "Hey You" sung by Paul Carrack

  • just sooo beautiful music !

  • Just enjoy the music for g... sake. Despite the fact that The Wall was made several years prior the Berlin wall colapse, it is still good music.......

  • Can't you just enjoy the music. Despite the fact that the music was made several prior to the fall of the Berlin wall, it is still a hele of a concert.

  • Together we stand, divided we fall.

A lesson for the United States in the year 2011.

  • I think most of this was great, but the solo in "Hey You" was... different, and normally it is like my favourite solo EVER so that made me kinda sad :(

  • posting with a phone, sorry. continuing my last comment; Empty Spaces is symbolic of what happens when there is distance between people or groups. a person fills up the empty space by participating in consumerism that funds the capatilists and the government. people take medication, shop, build skyscrapers, start wars... to fill the empty spaces.

  • @Xiolablu, Sure, it is totally about building a wall between groups. There are many layers to the symbolism here. One is pink and his wife and the resulting trauma of the divorce. another is the school authority. there are many direct lyrics and symbols expressing distrust of the government. Empty Spaces was, in my mind, a perspective od

  • Leonardo Da Vinci, Eistein and Roger Waters. Stop

  • I Love it

  • "Together we stand. Divided we fall". Are you people listening to the message??

  • The Wall is a full scale warning of the dangers of communism in General.

  • @tnexmarinecop yeah yeah, sure, cool story bro...

  • @tnexmarinecop

Uhhh... well... and capitalism. It is a warning of government. There are many messages against capitalism in THE WALL.

  • @LittleMatchGrrl It isn ot a warning against communism or capitalism, its a warning of building up walls between any two groups. Even one single person and another.

  • @LittleMatchGrrl lol, everyone are anarchist these days. Anarchy is a freaking fail. Give me a break. No Govt's , no boundaries, no rules except the rule of the jungle. The strongest survive. If you run out of food, kill your neighbor, and take his. Its his fault if he isnt strong enough to keep it. You would perish in the first week of anarchy.

  • @tnexmarinecop

I am certainly not an anarchist.

  • a quote from roger waters: "i would consider performing the wall in berlin if the wall ever came down" in the audience is small mound. that mound is the main entrance to hitlers bunker. those people are standing on historical ground

  • Whoever did Hey You was fuckin amazing.

  • @kingsteve55 it was Paul Carrack

  • beautiful and really

  • One of the best Riff i've heard !

  • what wouldnt i give for a time machine to be right there?

  • dam i crying

  • who is the guitarist in the hey you ? I think hes really great

  • Dark Side?

  • @JEBenderProductions4 no one pressed the Dislike button

  • such a divine guitar

  • I think they built all the bricks very early )

  • Not at all. It follows the story of the Wall. At this point, Pink is absolutely cut off from the rest of the world. It fits.

  • yes I know/ I mean for the show its not so intresting

  • yes u r right BmayRp have not seen movie or full album

  • not at all

  • hey you without gilmour voice is not hey you....

  • hey lordinfamousscarcro if you want to hear the original " wall"... your at the wrong site so get over yourself... it is what it is ... combo of diff artist and magnificent job BRAVO

  • It's not supposed to be identical to the original album. The whole point is that it is a collaboration of artists, each putting their own mark on the performance, in order to honor and celebrate everything symbolized by the falling of the Berlin wall.

  • "the wall" is not about the berlin wall at all -.-

it was just kind of fitting to make a concert set to its fall

  • Comment removed

  • @dangergErBi u r stupid

  • @faithless1976 no. the wall was made long before the berlin wall or better its fall and is a very personal experience. nothing political or whatever.

  • @dangergErBi are you serious? moron

  • @dangergErBi It is slightly about the Berlin Wall. As the message is that building up walls from the outside world is bad. Knocking them down and getting on with people is good. SO although it was not written about the Berlin wall, the mesage still fits IMHO.

  • @dangergErBi duh :P

  • @dangergErBi There's a book written about the story behind this album i think. It has something to do with losing your mind or something like that. I can't remember. I was broke when I saw it so I couldn't get it.

  • @dangergErBi Waters always underlines the realtionship of this story the worl war II. The Berlin wall came as a consequence of that war, tearing too many families apart. So, in a way, this concert really fits... but honestly I doubt many people knows that.

  • @Hayacafrita What I like about this album is that the wall is not a well defined metaphor. It's about the walls that both individuals and society create out of fear. It's both personal (about Water's story) and universal.

Like other Pink Floyd albums, the story of an individual becomes something that almost everyone can identify in.

  • One of the best songs from this incredible concert is, "Is there Anybody Out There" The beautiful/haunting accompaniment of each guitar is stellar! Snowy White and the other fellow do a remarkable job on this song. One of the many favs from the Wall and this concert from me. :D

  • can you think of any other ways to convey such a powerful metaphor?

  • you would feel less stupid knowing that there's 300,000 ppl on the other side listening

  • well your fucking sick the dsordly folk666

  • Paul Carrack completely butchered the song, and that guitar solo completely sucked as well nothing compared to what Gilmour would have done. I do understand this was a fundraising concert but dude don't fuck up a piece of art

  • Great sininng voice! Paul carrack has a wonderful voice!

Only the Pulse Version is better ;)

  • I love the vox.

I think Waters is synching when he is singing, but this singer is for real.

  • Stop wailing you stupid fuck. He totally ruins the song.

  • i dont like the guys voice when he's singing Hey You. he destorys the song lol

  • I agree

  • you can even see the orchestra smiling and believe me they dont smile often!!!!!

  • >all

  • It's Paul Carrack

  • mee

  • who is that singing Hey You?
