I loved both games, actually still working on Psychonauts, the Meat Circus is trully a nightmare :/ I got killed/drowned all the time. But after so much pain in the ass, I still can't get angry and want to play and know even more, so they got me there :) I get a rage, but still try and try again. Platformer RPG's rule! Can't wait for BG&E2 (Ubisoft) and Brütal Legend (Double Edge)
Especially since they both ended on cliffhangers. Very unlikely there will ever be sequels for either of them because of poor sales. What bugs me in a lot of games these days is that theres hardly any originality in them. At least the developers of these 2 games were brave enough to try something different.
The trailer was great; subtle hints as to what has happened between the two stories and what is to come. The latest news (which is a little dated now) states that it is in pre-production, and I remember the last few games I really wanted that were in pre-production... if it makes it to the end - which is very likely that it will considering the last one kicked ass - then it will be a long while to come. Late '09 would be the earliest, with the summer of '10 being more likely. :./
I recently watched all of your BGE videos, and I'm starting to see a lot of the same shots. I think with all the projects you've done for BGE, you'll need to do more with the footage from BGE to keep it interesting.
I really like how you related shots from BGE to Psychonauts. It's evident to me that you put a lot of pre-planning into this project before you ever touched an editor. This is real good, because it gives the project a directionl. Good job, keep it up.
At the 2:00 minute mark, the song kicks in and is way too hot, as in too loud. you should try and bring that level back a little bit. It was a bit startling. I think the song is probably mixed that way, but I felt like it kicked back in way to hard. This could be just me, so ask around.
You gave each game a good amount of screen time, but unfortunatly, I think you may have reached the saturation point on BGE footage. (Continued...)
Denden's got it right, Psychonauts looks quite interesting after watching that video. The game looks severely messed up, so it's probably got it's fair share of sweet moments.
You did a nice job of editing to the momentum of the song. The cuts came quick when the song asked for it. You also did a fantastic job of matching up clips to certain parts of the song, either when there was a chance to lip sync, or when the song had something in lyrics that the clip had as well.
Brilliant video for this song !
