  • exeleeeeeeeeeeeente wn

  • all the others hate the guy with the electric guitar. He came late. didnt say "hello"! Kept to him self.

  • Man,thats a fraction out of sync, nevermind beautiful piece of music.

  • heureusement qu'il à choisit la grande musique comme soliste

  • Actually 1979 - their "warm up" gig prior to their first UK tour.

  • @Lnt999- I'll second that!!!!!!!!

R.I.P Steve Grey- a great man and a great musician truely missed

  • Great vid, thanks a lot. This is actually an arrangement of a classical piece by Antonio Ruiz Pipo. I have the powertab version, if anyone is interested. Bit of a handful to play, though. As Kevin Peek once wrote: "One day I'll write a piece that John [Williams] finds difficult to play - with an easy part for me, of course!".

  • Great melody. in the good times Saudi Arabia, I heard this melody in the TV presented by Amal Hamoda. She is gone. No more music after that

  • My god - was that a smile from John williams at 2.20? Fantastic band - I remember buying this in 1979. I was 2nd year of high school and took some pounding from my mates as we were all into the likes of Motorhead & Judas Priest, although a few of us had a liking for the likes of Yes & Uriah Heep. Still - 30 years on and I still have that vinyl, and Sky2, and Sky 3..............................

  • @BigBadGeetarDave Nice to know I wasn't the only one who took a pounding from my mates over my love of Sky back then.... lol

Scipio was the ultimate track for me

  • @BaldyTel

I started listening to them after hearing some of their songs on the BBC series 'Great Railway Journeys' back in early eighties.

  • fantastic group. I grew up with and have to thnak my Uncle for introducing me to thier music. Still love it 30 years on.

  • nice arrangement on top of original danza

  • Isn't that Richard Dawkins playing drums? must have been moonlighting from writing The Selfish Gene at the time...

  • Nooo - Its Tristan Fry

  • Although Francis Monkman is playing keyboards as this is early SKY footage, I'd like to say RIP Steve Gray, a true keyboard genius!

  • Saw them 3 times in Sydney, what a band - wow.

  • isn't Youtube wonderful, re-ignited an old passion - just got to search the loft for the LP's (none of this CD/MP3 rubbish :)

  • my mum raised me on this :)

  • que bonita melodía... saludos desde Mexico..

  • I love this band. Still find myself going back to Scipio as the best track though

  • Brilliant!

Just a pitty the harpsichord section of the video wasn`t louder as on the CD.

  • Brilliant! Saw Sky on stage at Bristol and they were superb. Great shame they split up.

  • Saw them in Sheffield when i was 12!!! Im 40 now and it still ranks amongst the best gigs i ever saw. Absolutely the best collection of musicians (technically) you could ever put together. Wonderful stuff. Thanks for posting

  • My Dad would have gone to the same show - City Hall?

Weird isn't, I spend all my childhood laughing at my Dad's record collection and I'm now trawling YouTube looking for Sky, The Temptations and Booker T and the MGs!

  • me too... now I laught at myself ...

  • my mum was at sheffield in 1979 to see these guys, she loved em :)

  • YES - each day there are more and more and more SKY VIDEOS.
