  • Jesus told stories of servants being rewarded for gaining profit for their master & punished for not. He was not a socialist. Many people in the bible were rewarded with wealth & punished by losing wealth. Not socialism. Many Christian sold their property to support the early church they did this freely they were not forced. Not socialism.

  • hey im satanist and i am a communist and i velieve that everything in earth is explained by science i will live and die for the red rebolution and velieve me not all religiuos people think the same

  • I wouldn't say religion is the cause of those deaths, but rather, religious organizations coupled with extremism. In addition to this, there are loonies in every ideological group. Ideas don't kill people; people kill people. I think it's important to mention that while the capitalist death toll is facilitated by capitalism itself, these deaths related to religion are ironic considering that most religions in general teach peace.

  • Uh BTW, nick:

There were the Hussites wars, the abolition of the priscilian heresy, the persecution and prohibition of manicheism in both the roman empire and the sassanid empire(iran and mesopotamia), the total erradition of the arrian heresy by the moors, and hundreds of thoundans in the easter and nordich crusades(againts pagans).

  • Thanks for sharing.

  • What is your source for these numbers? I'm an atheist but, I need evidence please provide some.

  • The sources regarding religion are at the end of the video.

  • hey! The Halloween theme! Cool!

  • ok while Religon has had a bloody history you can argue that let's take for an example the catholic church it abused the bible as Pol Pot abused the "communist Manifesto" they didn't really care about the text they preached..

I mean the church told people not to have sexual relationships (outside marraige) yet we know many priests did this (espically in Ireland during the latter half of the twentyith centuary) this proves they where just hypocrites and that they really ignored religon

  • Pol Pot admitted that he never understood Marx. In the beginning, the Khmer Rouge said they weren't following anyone. Pol Pot was not communist, and he probably never read The Communist Manifesto.

  • yes that's what I meant in a way I just wrote it badly Pol Pot equeal's what the chruch (back then) did to Christ's teachings like Marx the things Jesus said weren't bad! They where postive good and well clearly abused the chruch back then was consumed with manipulating poltics and wanted power dished to them from kings and emperrors alike they advocated very little of Christ's teachings in my view

  • Oh yes, and the Incans had a socialist type of economy.

  • They weren't industrialized, so it would be very primitive socialism. It would be more like hunter-gatherer society than anything set up in the 20th century (less advanced than in backwards areas like Asia).

  • they had an agriculture system, not quite hunter-gathered like your usual tribes men.

It was a civilization, but I agree it was primitive socialism, but even the company of Jesus and Thomas Moore got an eye on it.

  • There's nothing wrong with communism. It's just that so far, most communist countries have been ruled over by ruthless dictators. They've given communism a bad name.

It IS possible to have communism AND democracy AND free speech AND freedom of the press.

We just call it socialism & it used to work just fine here in Australia until the World Bank started flexing its muscles in the name of its "new world order" agenda

Everything said in Zeitgeist & addendum has happened here over the last 30 years

  • the number of Native Americans killed by Americans exceeds the number of deaths in the Holocaust. These massacres were justified by the Christian god. More specifically, the Manifest Destiny.

Most people tend to ignore this massacre for some reason.

  • The Whole American Continent was devasted in the name of the Spanish Empire and the Roman Catholic Church.

Never forget that. Not a country, a whole continent were killed by them, how many people of the "red race" you know in the world? Those were, and are, the truly Americans. Not even Africans, who suffered slavery, rapes and more atrocities, had been swept by such a killing spree.

    If there's a God, I hope he'll punish those power-filled economical-sustended bastards.

  • Religious people, espeically those christians, are never introspective.

  • also i dont think jesus would be anything especially a guerrilla because that would go against everything he taught i think he would go with a more peaceful approach not saying communism is bad dont get me wrong i just believe communism is actually for the people by the people to help people and protect us and also to give us real freedom yes maybe it was done a little wrong last time but if the concept was perfected and a person who cared about the people in power would make a real paradise ;)

  • how is it supposed to be done anyway?

  • as a christian (also a communist/socialist) I agree that religion has had its hands dirty. Religion can be practiced but it should not be taken too seriously. I find it sad that there are people who hate others because of their religion when it is the persons personality that counts

  • Great comrade, just a few sample of what Religion did and still doing nowadays.

A trash which we must forget and forbid for a better future for mankind.

  • Religion was killed the most people in the history!

  • Very nice! Good work comrade!

  • LOL...very nice comrade. I hate religious Fundamentalism! It is a great evil. When people are progressive in their religious views, then it is fine with me. I'm a religious progressive. I'm actually a Communist because of my religious beliefs. I believe in the brotherhood of mankind, cooperation, trying to make the world a better place, solidarity, etc.

  • There was a Cuban poster with Jesus on it. It was implying that Christ would be a communist guerrilla if he was alive during the Cuban Revolution. Very true.

    I agree with you.

  • Why don't you read Francesco Carotta. There was no Jesus, only Julius....

  • I agree Jesus had lots of communist thoughts and the (gospels) are full of communist teachings so much that Marx must have been insipered by them (some how) but Jesus wouldn't have been a "guereilla" soldier he advocated and thought peace (which I agree with) he wouldn't have taken up a gun during the Cuban revolt he might have sympathized with Castro (but might have condemed him for violence) who know's.

Generally I would call him a socialist or communist though

  • No, Before christ Aristoteles speak about communism.

    Jesus is not original.

  • Great video.

  • Thank you.

  • Gret vid! Good job!

  • Thank you.

  • Thanks.

  • Its obvious you have put some research in comrade, great job! Another tool against the religious extremists on here.

  • Thanks.

  • hahahahahahahahahahahahah really i like it this video say wt iwant to say great job comrade

  • Thanks comrade.

  • religon can be a tool for fear thats why i have no "Religon" i believe my own

  • Brilliant video, comrade. Every discussion I ever have with cappies and religious nuts always degenerates into body count, unfortunately ('cause they have nothing else on socialism), but on pure ethics and morality, we have them beat. It takes some kind of selfish fucknut to believe everything in the universe is waiting for you and has been created for your benefit.

  • Thanks.
